As someone who actually loves the POTP Dinobots (yes, even Volcanicus), I adore this set. It’s almost exactly what I was hoping a revisited Volcanicus would be, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Just gorgeous!

I’m sure Pulse will get it, but I’m crossing my fingers just to be safe.

Well this is a bummer.   Was hoping for at least new color schemes on them.

 

And then Studio Series basically made Movie the Best redundant, which I find amusing

 

I'm gonna be honest this is far from my favorite combiner but I wanna get it anyway because CW and the PTOP combiners were for me one of the most fun things to come out of a mainline in a while. Also the fact that this is happening makes me thing we might get a Selects Abominus which effectively means that even in the "Unified Brand" era we can technically still have Takara versions of both main PTOP combiners. And I like that because I loved having two variants; I still have both of My Bruticuses displayed because they're so different.

Oh that with the two unreleased Dinobot decos would be amazing.

Well, cool for people who missed out...and cool for me since I dont at all feel the need to pull the trigger on it  

 

Called it, Dinoking was definitely a stretch. I love this deco but will wait for a look at Studio Series, I have a feeling this is timed conveniently right before we see that.

 

Snarl\'s beast head is still his regular beast head? what?

It\'s seems to be based on the G1 cartoon deco.

Really cool... except that a leader class Grimlock is coming out next year... which is going to be cheaper than this selects one.

 

The gold part on the back guns/chest fillers are a new part.
The actual gun part is from the Seacons combiner foot.

This is what should have come out two or three years ago.

Everyone is much improved, particularly Slag and Swoop. Looking forward to getting this set.

I hope they do Abominus like this too.

 

I like this set. It does look like the torso for the large robot has been remolded somewhat. Those look like 2 smaller dinobot guns flanking Grimlock's head. I tried to mimic the look with my own Volcanicus but couldn't do it. Can anyone tell if it's just an add on piece or a remold?
