Fair point, but the replies can all be civil too?

The toys werent even going for the same intentions. Gen Warpath was a modern day stylized figure being an H Tank.... where as this new one is going G1 . Both are great for what they are intending to be IMO. Some younger people dont like it and its silly but there are a ton of people wanting G1 figures that they never got growing up so kudos to hasbro for making us late 30's to 40 something year olds happy at last.

I am OK with them, but it only makes sense for really, really super heavy tanks that need multiple motors (and thus, separately driven treads) to move. Like the T-28, which was never used in combat actually (although I loved the "clash" between this and my Maus super heavy tank in the final mission of the game Blitzkrieg).

He said he did not grow up with G1 at one point, so I assume he doesn't even know the character other then maybe seeing pics of him on the net.
Honestly I started to put him on mute and just look at the video... less annoying.

Yup, as a kid I wanted to get Gen WP, and would still want it over WFC WP, but I can respect what the newer figure is going for, and would actually go for it instead due to it's refined look that most modern figures tend to have.

Well, if you're hating on his opinion that's a bit strong. His opinion is perfectly valid if he really doesn't like parts forming. I only really take issue with the fact that he seemingly needs to shout it to the rooftops in every thread he's in whenever he gets the chance lately. It's as bad as the people constantly going on about scale this or scale that. Especially when it has nothing to do with the current thread and is just a derailment. Though my recommendation would be if someone gets under your skin that bad then rather than engaging just put them on your ignore list. Trust me. The ignore feature really does make this place a lot more bearable.

I agree and as I advised @autobotsrollout above if someone gets under your skin that bad the ignore feature is your friend.

I can understand that perspective. Partsforming is easy and simple. But I appreciate complex engineering that can achieve a self-sufficient machine more.

I really liked the way that Generations figure looked, but this is what I see when I look at this new figure:

Well, one is a toy and the other a person. And if I am honest the, "Who hurt you, bro?" thing is some tired troll BS. It's the kind of thing 1st person shooter kids say to psyche out each other. But do what you want, I just prefer people not to behave in a way that get 10 pages of flame war going.

well I said Im sorry the toy hurt you.......... which if he feels so strongly against it, the toy did hurt his feelings.

also there is a team of humans behind that toy. I dont see him considering their feelings when saying the toy needs to be completely redone for something so minor. and yes they have said before they read message boards.

I think he looks dorky and awkward, which is why I like it. Feels like this is the first official Warpath toy in a while that actualy made him be as weird as his original animation model instead of 'making him cooler'

Sadly not everyone realizes that folks have different tastes and prefer to belittle those with differing opinions.

Yup, I've been making use of the ignore feature recently myself with those that think their way is the only way, and eff those that dare say something they don't like.

It's made reading the threads much more enjoyable.:)

I honestly agree with how hollow he is... Especially in the front treads on the inside, it just looks insanely unfinished in tank mode. And judging by the photos, covering that area wouldn't even hinder the transformation either. The forearms I'm slightly okay with given that they're the inside of the arms, but I do agree they should have been painted or cast in the red plastic instead of white with red paint on 3/4s of the forearm. Past that I'm not too keen on the gigantic heel-ish spurs he's rocking behind his feet. Maybe have had them transform so they're basically a calf instead of some kind of horn jutting off the ankle?

Ditto. I’ll take a repaint, but I think the Generations design improves on the character design hits me the right ways. Being slavish to the G1 animation model makes him look a bit dumpy.

I'm assuming TF Kingdom is the name of the 3rd arc to WFC? Anyhow, love this Warpath! Wish they pushed the size up juuuuust a bit more, but it's still awesome.....and ankle tilts too! Awww yeah!
