I'd think since they are the only ones available new right now they could offer up repaints and they would sell pretty well.

 

How dark is the purple? They look purple in some images and almost black in others.

 

It's quite dark unless they're well lit. Flash pics look purple for instance. Almost looks black on my shelf though. That purple is my biggest complaint with them actually.

 

They're not at BBTS, searched for them there and they don't show up. Also, ShowZ as well as a few other places has them for $184, so they haven't always been this half price.

 

@DragonKnight71 well, don't know what to tell you, they did have them at BBTS for the $99 and as soon as the reissues came out TFS had them for the same, so this isn't a sale, don't really know what the argument is about. didn't realize I would have to take screen shots to prove something that in the grand scheme of things doesn't matter.

 

A ton of sits did mark them down to $100, that's what he's saying. TFSource had them at that price for months prior to this.

 

Anyone got these and mp36+? Thinking of getting them as toy varients.

 

the wrists are trash, forget wrist swivel, they don't even have a detent in the wrists to keep the hand from sliding back up when you try to pull them out.

 

I have the FanToys ones, but have been waiting forever for MMC to do a Diaclone set, but years later still nothing, nada, zilch :/

Does anyone know if the pre-order set from TFSource is going to be any different? Updates to the mold, etc?

 

It will be the same. TFS frequently throws these guys up for pre-order before they get another batch in. It's always the original set.

 

These are absolutely terrible. Just got the set for $100, and in hand I feel like I overpaid by at least $50. Super cheap feel. Eyes aren't even sculpted, just lightly masked off in red paint. All the metallic parts look like they've been drenched in silver paint. So much so that large details are submerged and many of the parts don't fit together right. I don't know if it's an error in the vacu-forming or mold degradation, but it looks terrible. On top of that, Bombshells right leg just crumbled at the knee. This is easily the worst quality third party purchase I've ever made.

@Stitchwolf not making light of the situation at all but it looks like the cheese dun melted. luckily mine hasn't crumbled, alll I've gotten so far on mine is one of the tips of the insect broke off at the tiny ass ball joint and on of the insect legs was built wrong, which it still folds up fine so nothing to worry about there.
But, with yours I would ask for store credit or your money back, that is total and complete bullshit on MMC's part. the pisser being they are the only ones right now that are making Insecticons. no idea if FT will rerelease theirs, and if they do you're looking at closer to $300 or more to get the set and Badcube seems to have disappeared from the scene.

 

Try closer to $700-$1000

Bombshell's knee did the same thing on mine. I'm not pleased. Kickbacks wings broke immediately on mine as well. They will stay put, but the plastic is complete garbage. These just feel cheap. I've owned other MMC products, and they felt fine. This set shouldn't cost more than $60.

I emailed Tfsource about a replacement, will see what they say.

 

Picked em up from tfsource as well. Decent little stand in, I guess! Hope I can replace them with with something better down the road. No real complaints here! Hollower than I expected maybe but eh. I don't feel taken

 

I got them strictly for kickback as I like the design of it over the chunky boy Fanstoys made. the other two just add some background copies
