It was, but it was still a female mold in that line. @Xaran Alamas was asking about originally female molds (as in intended to be female/not retooled from a male mold and not meaning original female molds created for that line) and even though T30 Chromia is a retool of Prime Arcee, she still fits into that category

True, though the spirit of my post was more new molds originating in Generations otherwise that exclusive Fort Max coloured RiD Windblade would count. Guess I'm being too restrictive with my specifications but I'll allow T30 Chromia because I really like her even if technically she doesn't met the criteria I set out. Though she's also a substantial retool of Prime Arcee, compared to the aforementioned Windblade who is only a recolour.

Point of ultimately, it's still not that common to get more than one new female mold in a line.

And Elita! I think she's different enough from Starscream to count, personally. If not, well.. I tried?

I dont know if you count this, but uh cyberverse. They gave us that female lugnut look alike, a windblade mold, and a slipstream. Again if you dont count it fine, but that is a thing...

Interesting that Blackarachnia comes with her alternate face that the original toy has. Do we think this will show up on other figures? Perhaps Cheetor comes with one but we haven’t seen it

    Wing-who?

...Yeah, with that being said, it’s bound to be Terrorsaur.

Wingfinger is supposedly a working name for one of the fossilizers so it’s not terrorsaur

I bet that extra head doesn’t come with the general release. Probably some selects release.

I wonder if the G1-ish Prime in the leaked Kingdom art is just going to be another fairly standard Prime, or something else. I ask this because the sides of his legs look almost Powermaster Prime-like, but it's difficult to tell given the quality of the image. I know some will say, "We just had PMOP in Titans Return," but by that logic, we also already just had two fairly standard Primes and Megatrons. Hastak have never minded repeating themselves with major characters. And that PMOP was neither a Powermaster nor a combined super-bot.

I'm still waiting for POTP Evolution Prime to get a retool into PMOP as the gimmick was perfect for that imo. It would also make sense imo to have a larger Prime mold, given the prominent inclusion of Beast Wars, as a semi-homage to that classic scene where they "meet" the G1 bots and they're enormous next to them. (Especially with the possible inclusion of the Ark.)

It probably isn't, but it sure would make me happy lol.

It's most likely just the repacked Earthrise Leader Optimus that we already know we're getting from the leaked listings.

I’m trying to wrap my mind around how an ARK could be released as a Titan class item and still work well. Wouldn’t it have to scale well with at least Voyager class figures? If so then the cockpit would have to be, what, 7-8 inches tall? And frankly, I don’t want this thing as a transformer unless it has sections that transform to reveal weapons placements.

Hmmm....maybe the ship transforms but only to open up and become a playset. I could see that happening for the price point.

I had really hoped Scorponok was my swan song on expensive Transformers. I’m not even getting Unicron because I have the Armada one. This thing might keep me in.

It probably scales to to core class, otherwise why release Prime, Megatron and Starscream in that class

Good point. If this thing doesn’t work somehow with Deluxe and Voyager, this could be an easy pass.

I doubt we'll get much of S2 / S3. The Fuzors / Transmetals and Transmetal 2s were put in the show with a much closer degree of coordination with Hasbro ("to sell toys") than S1. S1 was made with the toys already planned, and adapted off of them. Compared to the S1 Toys, the Fuzors / Transmetals / TM2 toys hold up really well for the most part. The biggest problem is that the vacuum metalized parts flaked over time and through play and the construction of the ball joints at the time made many of them floppy.

If we get any S2/S3 toys I would guess they would be:

-Tarantulas (TM). This was his better toy, and his better show look. Most media of Tarantulas has used these colors. It's his better look compared to Season 1. I think we have a really good chance of getting him.

    - Silverbolt. Major S2 / S3 character that would benefit from a modern scupt and engineering.

    - TM2 Megatron. To pair with PotP Optimal Optimus. Also an absolutely amazing design. Transformers haven't done a mainline dragon in a while either.

    - TM2 Dinobot II. Super distinctive look. Potential troop builder?

    - Ravage. Major cross-over character. The animation model was a heavily modified version of Transmetal Cheetor, as was the Japanese exclusive mold, but it's more likely a Kingdom or after release would be unique to the character.

Figures I think we're not likely to ever get are:

-TM Ratrap and Cheetor. Their original figures are "good enough" and designs are less iconic compared to the originals.
-TM Optimus Prime. Because the design is trash.
-TM2 Cheetor and Black Arachnia. Designs appeared for a very short time in the show, and weren't very strong to begin with. Original toys "good enough".
    -Quickstrike. Probably too obscure.
-Depth Charge and Rampage. I don't see them doing large voyager or leader class figures of these two obscure characters again.
-Tigerhawk - Same as above. Too obscure. Too big.

    One more thing.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they do Optimal Optimus again.

    Say what?

Yeah. Hasbro double dips on leader class molds due to expenses. ER Optimus is being released at least 4 times we know of. Shockwave got a popular Selects release. Siege Astrotrain was reboxed for ER. PotP leader classes all got multiple releases as exclusives.

But not Evolution Optimal Optimus, which was released VERY late in the line (about 3 months before Siege came out) and seemingly in 1 shipment. It wasn't exactly hard to get, but it does seem like Hasbro grudgingly released it and expected another "Prime" be selected. For a mold that was all new parts, not much of a ROI.

So what I think they'll do is re-released PotP Optimal Optimus again at some point, probably without the evolution gimmick (so new upper toroso mold). And they'll probably drop it around the same time they do TM2 Megatron. That way Hasbro gets their double dip.
