Yep. I mentioned this a few pages back. The knee ratchets are trash also. Almost as bad as the shoulder combined ratchets. They will get worse the more you pose Assaultus.

MMC needs to send replacement ratchets... 4 ratchets, 2 shoulders and 2 knees... to all those who purchased this set. Some of us bought 2 sets... and are doubly disappointed.

 

The release order for the team was 1; left arm, 2; right leg, 3 main body torso, 4; right arm & 5; left leg. A few of us have speculated it was a deliberate decision by MMC to leave us all hanging - or in Assaultus case - standing on one leg until the end for maximum WOW factor. I personally suspect they may also follow a similar strategy with releasing the 5 components for Maximus Pro. And just to keep us all guessing again; they'll leave his right leg for last. Poor Groove, so much riding on him and how he looks - no pun intended

 

Remember, Bruticus standing on one leg while Brawl is out doing stuff is canon.

Finally messed around with Blast-Off. The pictures don’t do it justice, way better in hand. Waiting for Brawl from TCP.

 

Now having volatus, I do see what skullface said. The proportions are a bit off, and his necks a bit weird. But overall, he's pretty fun! His arm swivels are way too tight though, and I do feel more could have been done with the arm. Still wouldn't take any other version over him though. These poses are a bit hard to understand so let me give you a hint: spaaaaaaace! "Henshin"

 

I wonder why they put 2 pegs right where the deception symbol should be on Onslaught? I never noticed that.

 

OH YEAH!!!! I love these guys. I haven't transformed Blastoff yet but Brawn, wow. He was just just as fun to transform as Onslaught. It's funny, I just sold my Jinbao Bruticus set last night and I get the rest of my guys today. I've been having some drinks, going to enjoy messing around with these guys today. Can't wait to form Bruticus and throw the upgrade kit on.

 

I have everything I showed in those photos. I think so, I assume it's that green knob and the two little black plastic pointy bits? I'm not sure if I'm going to try putting those in or not. There were instructions included for how to do it, though.

I find Probus to be somewhat disappointing. The alt mode is bland, the transformation into robot mode is simplistic with not much going on with the legs maybe due to the all-in-one aspect and the cannons don't peg in well in alt mode or combined mode. I think Archimonde pulled it off better in all aspects. I was really hoping Probus was better but I put him on par with Zeta's Brawl minus the pain in the ass treads. But hey at least Assaultus looks good.

 

Got Probus and he’s fantastic. My set is now complete save the inability of the shoulder ratchet to hold up Vortex. I am hoping that Mastermind is willing to send another ratchet as the one they sent for Blast Off works perfectly.

This is my definitive Bruticus. I don’t care if he is a bit shorter than my other combiners. What MMC pulled off here impresses the heck out of me.

 

All I can say is watch out during transformation. There's not enough clearance for the head as is, and mine was at kind of an angle inside the body.

 

Curious as to how/why the alt-mode is "bland". I think the Leopard 1 is among the best-looking tanks, particularly the A3/A4 versions with their angular turrets. Adding camo splotches or stripes would be inaccurate to both the original toy and toon, he is "just green all over".

 

The head is easily avoided all together if you simply tilt the assembly it pivots on back a bit before trying to pull the hood down over the top.

Damn, that sucks. I was going through the same but being that I paid so much for these figures I went easy with transforming them. When I ran into that problem with the head, I went back and looked at the video one of the guys on here posted transforming the figure and found out the tank turrent pulls back a bit to give the head clearance. It doesn't show that on the instructions.

Definitely happy with Probus. My third most favorite of the G1 set is my third most favorite of this set as well, but he may move up to #2 after I play with him some more. The tank is a lot of fun to play with thanks to all the moving parts. I'll probably be unforming Bruticus before the weekend is out just to play with Probus some more. I'm anticipating that they'll all be going though all their modes over the next couple of days. I love that I can transform all of them without it taking an entire evening.

I love the Fraudo head! So much so that I untransformed the leg mode enough to get to the head so that I could go ahead and do the swap. Very easy swap if you loosen the screw.

The new shoulder joint is MUCH stronger. I'd love to have the same on the other side, but I'm not sure I'd want to go through the swap again. I don't have anything to easily push the pin so I did the swap with it in place. I did get a small stress mark, but not enough that I am worried about it. It looks cosmetic rather than structural. I may eventually take a lighter to it.

My Probus came in a window box from TCP if anyone is keeping track of that sort of thing.

all these pics really make me want color matched slippers for the toon look. would love those and a bigger gun. since we'll probably never get that, @LazyAza , do you know the exact colors on swindle and brawl so i can paint up my own?
