If you're completely new to 3D design, I'd recommend starting with Tinkercad. It's free, has a very accessible user interface, and is easy to get the hang of in terms of how it operates and the rules it follows. Also, buy yourself a cheap digital caliper so that you can take very accurate measurements of things when you're creating designs. You'll usually want to work in dimensions within a hundredth of a millimeter when making TF related things. Be sure to watch and absorb every Youtube video on beginning 3D design and printing that you can stand watching as well; you'll quickly sort through which folks are helpful and which aren't. Lastly, even though it's old school, buy a few beginner books on 3D design and printing so that you can start to grasp someof the terminology that's common in both. I'd been drafting since I was a kid since my dad was an architect/engineer, and my degree is in Industrial/Product Design, but even though that helped, I still mostly learned everything I'm doing right now from research on Youtube and just reading articles online and in books. Be patient and you'll eventually get the hang of things. =)

Thanks for checking this project out! I just ordered my first ever airbrush setup so I can finally learn how to use one, so I'm hoping to get him painted up over the next few weeks. Always have to keep progressing the bag of tricks. =)

Fanstoys Acoustic Wave model, basic build done, now just need to add all the edgework, detailing, and joints, then it's print time.

Yeah, I saw those photos, and the back of that guy looks ridiculous. Not to toot my own horn, but... I like my homemade figure much better. =p

I get (and answer) this question a lot nowadays, so here's the short answer:

    F360ENDR3

... just kidding, Fusion 360 and Creality Ender-3 printers. =)
