I think it's just a case of Dorkside trying to undercut other toy sites by *almost* price-matching Target and Amazon. DS sometimes goes a few bucks cheaper on items everyone puts on clearance (i.e. Netflix Ultra Magnus, some Star Wars vehicles, etc.).

You can't actually pre-order it now since it's sold out. $35 is a suspicious price for an in-demand Leader figure regardless. I know Target has it for $30 but Target is one of the big boys.

My overload preorder went from shipping in late October, to maybe late September to early October, to being delivered today to now coming on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Skipjack got canceled due to them being unable to ship it to me being able to re-preorder him a few weeks later to him and Cliffjumper arriving earlier this week.

And now Topspin, who didn’t have a delivery date, is coming tomorrow.

 

Could someone please check to find out if the grey barrel that comes with the Constructicon Overload can double as a zoom lens for Siege Reflector? Thanks.

I probably should have said this before but you guys probably know, but if you find a wild overload in target, they’ll match their $30 price on their app/ website. Which is how much I paid for mine.

 

There is no way to make the neck cover function as a lense for reflector.

One modification I just did was trim some plastic so the combined mode arms could sit more natural while having Scavengers combined mode arms in the official combination/clipped together.

Edit: it actually helps with Scavenger bot mode arm poseability as well!

 

PSA TO ALL OVERLOAD OWNERS:
The primary Devastator waist/Overload upper torso ratchets are prone to breakage over time! I advise disassembling that portion and shaving the parts of the ratchets down until it’s more of a soft thoop feeling. I had to glue the parts back together because of some severe cracking and breakage.

EDIT: unscrewing the butt plate a bit can alleviate the tension so try that if your parts are still intact rather than sanding/filing

I stripped a screw putting it back together and I’m not sure if I can get it out, but if I can I definitely will.

Exactly that. The reason it stopped being a ratchet joint is because the tooth part snapped.

These joints, just for the sake of specifics

 

If you could get that screw out and show us that would be awesome.but at the same time my first overload felt off out of the box, so i don’t think it’s all copies. I’ve had mine for a little over a week now and I have no troubles with it. The other one snapped day 2.
