I was talking about people in the US who constantly go on about how hard it was to get the Skywarp set. It wasn’t hard at all. I feel for the non-US people.

 

I'd like to add, I skipped Amazon on this one and coursed it from a vendor in Taiwan via ebay.

 

Oh good. Even as a collector in the UK, I know that I have it pretty good, not as good as US collectors but still good. I know that just a few hundred miles east of me it’s impossible to get anything. Just looking at the sightings thread shows that there’s parts of the world where Siege isn’t even a thing yet.

 

Of course, the set is now being released by Takara for the Japan market, at least. Not as good as a wide non-U.S. release, but it's something now.

 

Except I have yet to see anyone put it up for order yet,...

 

So are these available anywhere else for a decent price?

 

This isn't the whole set, but maybe these pre-orders are indicative of a possible re-issuing of the whole team? Oh, and the original MSRP, not the inflated 'hard to find' prices!

Who knows. Takara put up pre-sale for a new batch last month and sold out immediately. TFSafari has had some (brief) restocks. Turtler is the only left as in stock on their site.

 

I'm actually quite surprised BBTS has those two up for preorders. They put those exact two up for preorder when the original preorders went up at Pulse and everywhere else, then couldn't fill them, and pulled the listings. I don't know if anyone who preordered the Seacons at BBTS ever got their figures.
I like BBTS, and usually order from them, but I don't know if I'd trust them with the Seacons.

 

Yep, I just preordered those two at BBTS.

Hopefully the others are next.

Hmmm... seems either BBTS was probably scolded by Hasbro, for reasons best not discussed here, not to sell any imported selects for so long and now it may fall into that "Hey we are allowed to do this again" thing

Well shoot... we nearly gotta whole set!

 

I managed to grab Tentakill from Pulse when he went back up (he's been shipped and is on his way now), I also have Snaptrap, Skalor, and now Nautilator and Seawing on pre-order with BBTS. Just need Overbite and I'll finally have my favorite combiner.

Still debating if I want to track down and shell out the money for God Neptune. I like him but I've got enough crap to get next year.

 

At this rate it may be worth seeing if they reissue him later. If all these Seacons are coming back in stock, Neptune may too.

 

That's about where I'm at with them, I personally prefer the colors of the standard seacons, but I really like the mold use for Scylla. I'd also like if they did some kind of Nautilator to go with them just for fun (I recall seeing people talk about the possibility of one named Lobhammer but don't know where that rumor came from).

 

The Loverhammer rumors started once he was introduced in the Takara Selects comic, especially after they show how whoever upgraded the Space Pirates from their "G1" bodies to the new Selects versions took Lovehammer as some kind of payment/sacrifice.

The theory is that he's going to come back at some point, whenever they reveal who it was upgrade the Space Pirates and what they were aiming for. My hope is it's the Vok (they're known for giving corpses upgrades...*ahemtigerhawkahem*) and they release one based on the Judge mold.
