I just hope DNA doesn't screw this up. They have this unfortunate tendency to over-think, over-engineer simple things and ruin kits.

So far, the connections appear straightforward and simple but concerned about the small connector pieces on the parts load-out photo. DNA Design's history with moving / hinged parts is horrible.

Hasbro version is for people who don't want to drop a month's rent on a fucking toy and being ridiculous gatekeepers about the hobby

$499.99? Ouch if that is the price. My guess is it's a placeholder price. At least I hope.

A possibility as well. I was kind of hoping they would have some more paint apps besides the dirt, like maybe some more white on Scavenger. Perhaps this indicates an official reveal is pending.

That's double what you pay at retail. So unless that price is fake, the ugly fat robot better come with diamond plated armor. Yikes.

Ugh, that $500 MSRP is real, isn't it? Even with how rare some of these figures have become (coughcough LONG HAUL coughcough), that's 60% more than the price of buying the figures individually. And if that leak of the set from a few weeks ago is to be believed, the only change to this is some weathering on the feet bots.

While this is almost a certain confirmation that this set will be ridiculously expensive, I'm still going to hold out hope that this is a mistake until there's explicit confirmation from a Hasbro press release. At least there aren't going to be any exclusive recolored bots in the set, though (although I'm starting to get a bit worried about whether or not we'll get a Demolisher or Payload).

"whether it’s Constructicon Long Haul hauling debris as a semi truck or Constructicon Scrapper shoveling it up as a forklift."

....neither of those vehicle modes are right, either that or Scrapper is the weirdest forkless forklift I've ever seen.

on the topic of construction forklifts bring back Deadlift, throw him in as a bonus figure, that could be funny.

That comes out to $62.50 a figure what the hell (yes I know they're different size classes I'm just heavily generalizing the set).

Maybe it's supposed to be $500 for a case of two and they messed up?

This $500 price keeps showing up, ever since the original leaked listing. I initially dismissed it as some kind of mistake, but jeez, it would be sheer madness if it were true.

No matter what kind of extras this guy includes, the middle of a pandemic & recession is not the right time to try to sell a $500 set by packing in a bunch of needless extras. People just want the figures. Let them get the figures without paying double for a cheap plastic pyramid or something.

This expensive set is a definite hard pass. $500 for Studio series figures, yikes. Expensive, but not as bad as Ebay (anywhere from 550 to nearly 800 bucks).

The front page post should probably include a disclaimer saying that the price is definitely not confirmed to be $500 everywhere, and that TFSource regularly marks up their items.

This is the same retailer that’s selling MPM Starscream at a $90 markup. Based on the MSRP of each Constructicon individually, this set should be about $260. I’m sure TFSource is getting their stock from somewhere else and selling it at a big markup, same as what they do with most of the Transformers product they sell. I would recommend not putting any stock in this price.

Honestly 500 is insane. At Max I could see 300 because with the 2 leader class figure being 50 each, 4 voyager class being 30, and finally 2 deluxe class being 20. In total that comes to 260. So an extra 40 bucks for the ability to buy all but Rampage is reasonable. But paying almost double is stupid. Giving how I was alerted to it through TFSourse who has a tendency to seriously jack up the prices I am really hopping it is not that much.

    Two deluxes: $40.
    Four voyagers: $120.
    Two leaders: $100.

    Total: $260.

There is *no* way this will retail for anything over $300, let alone $500. People need to take a breather.

    Right?!

This forum has lost all sense of reason. Even if there's extra accessories it's not going to be $200 worth.

People so willing to fly off the handle they don't stop and think.

TFSource sure think they can profit an extra 200$ on this? Wow. I mean if one wanted to buy the original figures it would come up to around 260$ at most (2x20$, 4x30$. 2x50$)... No way this  would be 500$. Even if they included actual solid gold enemy scrotums, erm, wrecking balls. :D

My take: it’s a placeholder price, as they’ve done that before. Could also be for a case as @AoE suggested.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say it will retail for $249.99-$269.99. I could be wrong. But I also could be right.
