So, I am going to transform the trailer for the first time in the next day or two... What are the recommendation to try to avoid breaking anything or to make things go easier/smoothly? Are there screws I can loosen or take out to make things better/less likely to break? Any help is appreciated.
I dont have Capone yet but most people are breaking their combined mode hip joint because its stupidly tight. Watch out for that.
No, most people are breaking the combined mode hip joint because one of them is backward and they're trying to force it further than it can actually go (unless that's been corrected in later batches). If you find one leg can get straight with consistent force applied between clicks, but the other gets almost straight but you run into some extra resistance do not try forcing it. Instead move the leg outward almost to 90 degree, then rotate the entire leg (hip joint included) 180 degrees. If you push it back down it should get totally straight; just rotate 180 degrees at the thigh swivel so his leg isn't backward.
I haven't seen anyone do any work or modification to the figure on camera but BensKOllectibles is the only video I have seen so far that shows someone rotating everything correctly if that helps. As for other specific advice there are a lot of posts sprinkled throughout this thread like this one DX9 Stunticons by Darr123 that give some advice for using some silicone oil.
This, a world of this. I know some people had joints lock up so that they wouldn’t move in any direction, but I’m sure a lot of the breakages can be attributed to not doing what Mike Zekely said. Mine was the same way out of the box but I had been following this thread and immediately did the joint rotation when one of my hips wouldn’t go down that last click. Absolutely no issues once I turned those joints around.
He is correct almost broke mine the realized the hip joint was backward just rotate it..and care full with the feet one of my feet connectors broke off
Thank you very much. You and others here saved me from breaking the joint. Ad was stated, it was flipped out of the package and I had to move it into the correct position. If you guys hadn't helped and given me the correct info, I would have most probably broken that part. Thank you!!!
Whew. I can't recall the last time I worked up a sweat transforming something. Not sure if it's because of the hip tightness or my nerves worrying about breaking something. I really can't seem to figure out which hips are correct. Both of them seem to come to complete stops at different points no matter which way I turn. I'll just wait and mess with it more tomorrow once I get some oil for the hips. Thanks everyone for the help with tips and instructions.
Can't see your video, what's it about? Edited: never mind, it has to be watched on Facebook, and it's a review for G2 Montana.
[Pre-Order] DX9 Toys Montana Breakdown G2 Version For $60 shipped from China I'm in on some G2 action.
Anyone have a contact or connection at DX9 to as about when the heck we will hear news around Dragstrip?
I recently got Montana...he is good overall but i have one issue - Left hand wont rotate I tried to wiggle it and rotate harder...but im afraid it might break ... i noticed some deformity at the back of hand. maybe something inside it is misaligned or somthing..thats why i want to disassemble it but it is all pin. Maybe some of you has encountered the same issue and knows the fix
Just got Kukinski today, waiting on Henry to come in a few more days. Anyone know what's that blue leg that comes with Kukinski for? I think I remember seeing a while back something about Orion Pax build a figure but I could be wrong. There's no mention of it in the instruction book and if it is Orion Pax, what does he have to do with this set? Kind of a odd choice
You're right, it's a three part Build-a-Orion-Pax figure, the upper body came with Henry (Wildrider). Assuming the final leg piece will be included with DX9's Dragstrip. DX9 War In Pocket Orion Pax Humorously enough, MFT already bootlegged DX9's Orion Pax figure (before DX9 completed the release) with their upscaled KO version: MFT MF-51 Rebel / Orion Pax Regarding the new G2 Montana, I wonder if DX9 improved upon a securer peg mount on to Attila's leg? Believe that's the general complaint for Montana G1 & Henry in combined form, being loosely attached onto Atilla's calves.
Nice!! Thanks for the info. I have another question. Which was does Deadends legs suppose to be. are the wheels suppose to be on the outside or on the inside of the legs. Mines are on the outside but I've seen youtube reviews and pics showing the other way
