Yo, anyone who gets these in-hand, could we get some comparison pics? Specifically:
    1. All 3 of this first wave together, particularly Soundwave next to Megatron or Optimus (to see if this line is also trying to have some sense of scale)
    2. Each of these figures with their Siege/Earthrise counterparts (to see if at least figures in this G1 part of the line can scale with WFC stuff)
    3. Optimus and Megatron's heads compared with the heads of their Siege/Earthrise counterparts, to see if headswapping is generally feasible, even if dremeling/etc. is required

One thing to consider -when Hasbro made Action Masters they were not also making a mainline of transforming toys.
They were making Micromasters, which are admittedly pretty cool, but the main line was non-transforming Action Masters.

And while these R.E.D. may not be for you, I feel like there are so many Transformers products there has to be something out there for you.
I could see being frustrated with these if there weren't two main toy lines and many ancillary products.

    I couldn’t
I couldn’t tell you, because I don’t have either of them. I also don’t want the earthrise Soundwave as shocking as that may be to you. I’m not sure why you have such a concern with why people might want these vs the line that transforms. There are probably a lot of people that want both. I’m not one of them. Who cares?

These aren’t for me and from the very beginning I pretty much knew. I’m a fan of the artist who designed them(Emiliano Santaluccia) but I’m not in anyone’s way of buying these.

With that said, this line was made because Hasbro is pretty much making 6”+ scale fully articulated figures for mass market retail and has been successful. It’s not surprising they decided to make this type of figure for Transformers characters. Obviously it’s resonated with some of you.

For those who don’t like these and are content with transforming fully articulated Transformers in Generations...well you have what you want. Once this line was announced, nothing was going to stop it and now it’s on retail shelves. If you like figures like this, you got what you want. If you don’t and prefer Generations or whatnot, you got what you want. Literally something for everybody. That’s part of growing a brand and the fans that liked Action Masters back in the 90’s finally got the modern Action Masters they wanted and are probably hoping RED expands to actually cover more ground. There’s nothing wrong with that.

It’s just pointless to question this line’s existence if you already have what you want in another line. What argument have we read about this line today that wasn’t already posted months back when the stock pics were revealed?

heres to hoping we get to see some them play around with this line. Personally id love to see some unicron trilogy representation, imagine a RED Sideways! or some larger figures, like a 10 inch IDW Fort Max or something similar.

If the articulation isn’t as hindered as it looks, I might be tempted if some of these are repainted in their original Action Master deco.

That and an Autobot Spike. Not sure if this line would ever get to that level of an obscure character but I hope so.

Oh yes, this line is perfect non-transforming bots such as Alpha Trion, Autobot Spike, Nightbird, etc etc. While I am at it, the humans Spike, Sparkplug, Carly, Chip would be awesome.

Pretty sure they're $30, same as all the other Hasbro "collectible" action figure lines.

I was just looking at the promo pics of Megatron and he looks really, really cool. Basically, the Masterpiece but it doesn't transform, and it has zero compromises from the Sunbow model to accommodate transforming.

I preordered him and Soundwave, cause I was thinking, "Eehhh. $20 each. Why not?" Didn't order Prime cause I'm all Primed out at the moment. But the more I look at the pics, I think they actually look really cool and are gonna look great on my shelf. My only regret is that these didn't exist in 1984 when I would have given anything for toys that looked like the cartoon.

Megatron, Ironhide/Ratchet, and the Seekers were the worst for me. I hated...HATED...Megatron's protruding enormous trigger dick, and the fact that his barrel couldn't go on his back like in the cartoon without breaking it. And the Seekers with that dumbass nosecone hanging off the back of their heads....ugh. Do I even need to mention the vans??

These will be fun. I hope they make more. Hot Rod/Rodimus would be perfect for this line.

My only concern is Megatron's sloppily constructed arm....yikes. Let's hope the toy gods smile on us and our preorders are assembled properly.

Ok, looks like they weren't going for having these figures scale with WFC, BUT, it looks like RED OP's head might be about the same size as Siege/ER OP's head, so even if some dremeling is required, it looks like a headswap might be feasible.

So, if I were to get another ER OP to paint into cartoon colors (in case Hasbro doesn't feel like doing that color scheme again on another Optimus so soon), I might nab that RED OP to take the head off and put it on the ER.

Man I wish these where as big as sige as I really would love to add them in but I don’t think they would look right with sige as prime is a good 2in smaller?

As I was going to get prime/ megs/& soundwave to add in my line up as they look great but they are just to small at least prime & megs would be soundwave might work but I would love to see more pics of them mixed in!

might pick them up for my 6yr

These are perfect for someone like my girlfriend who loves the characters, but is indimitated by transforming then (she thinks shes gonna break them).

I do like the cartoon aesthetics, and the packed in accessories are nice. I might go for these as well.

So Optimus has single jointed knees? That's disappointing. The articulation seems decent enough, but there is nothing that wows me. I hope the future figures in the line have a little more love in that department.
