Meh, will probably only get this for bots that don\'t Transform, like some mini bot or something like that

 

Walmart.com orders will be lagging way behind from what I've read.

 

I never even got to make any orders.
Everything was sold out as soon as the listings went up.

I set an email alert for when they went back in stock and every time I got the alert the listing said "Out of Stock".
I saw an alert for Soundwave and clicked on the link within seconds and the listing was Out of Stock.

I figured I'd see them in stores eventually.

 

This is my fear with the seige netflix line

 

I'm not sure where you are, but those are on the shelves here in Texas.
They seem to be well stocked.

These look cool, but they are just not for me. I\'ve never really understood the concept behind Transformers that don\'t transform, but hey, that\'s just me, I know other people like this a lot more and that\'s okay.

 

I still dont understand what these things accomplish without transforming that the Seige/Earthrise versions of these characters dont accomplish with transforming ? Generations gives you all the articulation, cartoon accuracy, and transformation. Why would anybody want these things over Generations ?

 

This is just the gateway to them giving us accurate versions of characters from things like Prime, Animated and other avenues that would be unrealistically expensive as transforming toys. By doing G1, people will recognize the popular characters, buy them, and give Hastak the money to do more.

 

When I first saw these I was thinking well they don't transform. But what about having a 2 or 3 pack (triple changers) bot mode and the alt mode. But it will cost more. And especially the b/f mentioned triple changers. Then I said no that's not a good idea. Stick to buying collectibles.  

 

Animated was able to give us figures that:
Had accurate alt modes
Had accurate robot modes
Had accurate transformations

Like, that line was damn near perfect down to many characters literally transforming exactly like they did on the show.

 

I know these are a Walmart exclusive in the States but does anyone know if they are coming to Australian retail in anyway?

 

They are available for pre-order on Walmart since several days ago, around 2 weeks.

 

What about characters we never got like Hot Shot, Minerva, a ton of other guys.

We do have WFC for increasingly G1 traditional tranformers of the first wave of RED. If anything, this first set seems too safe and too similar to what they're also offering in WFC, I think that the value of RED will only be apparent when we see the rumoured Prime Arcee and Cheetor. Arcee's model in particular was a dirty cheater, just plain shrinking down bike elements. S1 Cheetor could be done, but I'm not that impressed with the Kingdom leak, and if RED Cheetor is a S1 look, he could be a cheap and durable alternative to the MP while looking miles more accurate than Kingdom.

Hopefully they've not gone for the same season 1 look so both have their own space though. There's 4 distinct Cheetor looks, he spent just as long in his BM look as his S1 design, and about 3/4 as much time in the transmetal look. Spread the love, if we're getting multiple Cheetors, give us a proper range of Cheetors! RED would be good for the technoorganic BM designs too, since you could have them be seemless and unmechanical.

 

Gonna have to grab these when I can, they look excellent. Really looking forward to seeing more of this line.

 

Maybe people like different things than you? I honestly don't know why people criticize things they have no interest in. If Generations fills all of the things you want in a TF line, buy those. I can't wait for these to show up at my door.

 

Having a great looking toy of a character that you like, that won’t come untabbed with handling and play.

Some people just want the character on the shelf without the transformation gimmick.

 

I have these on preorder because I'm curious to see how well it's all executed. I do hope to see more unique designs though. Characters that don't work well as a transforming toy (Rung or DJD members for example) or action masters would be at the top of my list. That may not be the intention of the line, but I hope they throw a bone to people who want something a little different.
