Hey guys, I was watching the movie again, and noticed somthing. Megatrons lines always get distorted....
But In the scene where Sam's running with the cube, and Megs breaks into the building, Megs yells something and then says "I smell you boy!". Is it me but just before he says that line he says something that sounds like "ka-pla!" ? Now I know i heard that word before and did some 'Google-foo' and found something...

Qapla' = Used as a salute in greeting and farewell. According to the scripts, Qapla' is pronounced "k-PLAH."

ha! I totally heard and thought that the first time I saw the movie..... and every time since.

 

I think i would be fitting of Megs to say something like that ..."Greetings .. and now farewell" Especially since the writters are doing then next Star Trek Movie and put other ST references in there

 

Or maybe its just another cybertronian language that's why they made Megatron say that. Dunno, that's just me sayin' this. =|

Haha! You heard that too?! I thought I was the only one. Maybe someone in S7 was a Star Trek fan, and spoke the language, and that's where Megs picked it up. Hahaa!  

 

It always sounded like "Surprise!" to me, making the scene a bit goofy. XD

Maybe he was just pissed about the whole incompetant-soldiers and little-freak-who-runs-really-fast-with-cube thing and roared in frustration.

it wouldn't suprise me if it was an easter egg. But more than likely, it was something hugo Weaving said it got really reaaaaalllllly distorted.

 

I actually noticed that same thing when I first saw the movie. Went and looked up what it meant online. Never knew if it was on purpose or not, but it was fun for me. I loved The Next Generation  

 

if i recall all the stuff megatron says thats not in english is, pretty much some language hugo made up on the spot

 

Why didn't someone make the comparison sooner?

 

The only things I heard come Megs in that scene besides his obvious lines and his language,I hearde "Surprise" and his growls.
