It's a new mech towing a mobile base for sure, it's too difficult to accurately determine the size of that mech from what we've seen though. I think it's a Trivers size mech but I may well be wrong.
I wonder if the big twin cannons from the Verse Riser 2 can be separated from the wheeled section? If so, that would definitely increase the variety of potential combos!

I must say that, in my opinion, it is pretty shitty that takara keeps including pieces like chairs in expensive exclusive repaints sets. They should be selling separated cheap furniture sets, weapon sets, etc, so we would have more freedom to customize and build dioramas. It would also be a nice break after expensive releases like giganter. I would buy a lot of those cheap parts sets. However, as it is, I am not buying any. The cost and selling practices in the diaclone line are just becoming ludicrous. I am not surprised some people are leaving. If they sell the cab / core figure separately, it's an easy purchase. If this whole set is as big as I'm afraid it is, I'm probably out.
A Tridasher-sized bot with a trailer would be neat. Still kind of big, but maybe not much bigger than an original G1 Optimus / Battle Convoy figure.

They don't, and they don't need to do it. The real question is for how long more enough people will be willing to pay those prices. Takara may eventually kill its own line if their prices and strategies keep driving people away despite how awesome the line would be. I am slowly but steadily drifting away. The opportunity cost is just getting too high and takara is not offering enough cheaper sets anymore to keep my interest in buying the line.
