I'd be pretty shocked if Soundwave and Bumblebee don't get an additional release
(I'd actually guess that's more likely then Nemesis Prime showing up on the show in Season 2)

 

Considering a major plot point of season 1 revolved around Magnus, why do people think Nemesis won't show up in the 2nd season?

 

purely gut instinct. I'm happy to be wrong. just feels like potentially too extraneous a plot thread to pull at with getting from where things ended up in S1 to Kingdom.

BUT! I could see them pulling a "zombie prime" or something ala the Allspark Zombies (or the quints controlling Prime somehow.)
but I'd guess we won't have a black Prime with a 'con logo.

 

Didn't Hasbro or the show runners say that the Alt Universe Optimus figure was going to tie into the show somehow? Could be that the Alt Universe Prime gets brought back by Quintesson/Unicron magic science and turned into Nemesis Prime.

I think Season 1 left me feeling that the tie between the toylines fiction and shows fiction will be as tight or as loose as anyone working on the show feels like making it.

 

To be fair, I don't think Magnus and Nemesis have ever been related, and the only thing that could suggest that they're connected is that Magnus is a White Prime in armor (which the show didn't acknowledge).

 

You're misunderstanding my meaning. Magnus was the season 1 spoiler box, and Magnus was part of a major plot point in season 1. Nemesis Prime is the season 2 spoiler box, there is no reason to assume that Nemesis Prime won't feature in the 2nd season. I'm not saying the characters themselves are connected (though that was my original theory back before we knew what mold the spoiler box 2 would be), what I'm saying is that by virtue of being the most expensive price point in the netflix line, and the fact that the box will contain spoilers for season 2, it makes more sense to assume that Nemesis will have a role in the show

 

Ah okay, I misread that. I definitely believe that Nemesis will be in the show (every other figure save the pack-in Battlemasters has), but it seems kind of weird to spoil it that early, considering we don't even know when the Earthrise season comes out.

 

You know, I didn't know they said that, but it does tie into my personal theory of why this Nemesis Prime isn't in his "traditional" color scheme and is actually close in colors to the Alt Universe Prime's scheme. Maybe the Quints find the Alt Universe one dead/dying, revive it, and brainwash it to go after the real one?

 

Well it's definitely not a spoiler pack for the first season   you can't really spoil something after it's out and the Magnus spoiler pack was supposed to be out a few months prior to the siege season

That's my current theory as well, would definitely help explain the grey instead of black colors

 

Been loving these reveals so far, also appreciate how each one represents a different theme:

G1 Micromaster - Hothouse
Gobot - Bug Bite
G2 - Megatron and Sandstorm
Japanese G1 - Black Roritchi
Diaclone - Spinout and Cordon.

For the last reveals, I'm hoping for some E-Hobby representation (I know Bugbite falls into that catagory too) - Junkion Detritus from Siege Hound, (Road)Hauler from Earthrise Grapple or Sunstorm from Siege Tetrajet mold (need my orange Seeker to complete the rainbow)!
