FWIW, I just got my Delta Magnus from toutiaotnto on eBay , so they continue to be a good seller! 13 days total in transit! Not bad.

 

Okay, I've been lurking this thread for the past 9 months. Finally got around to creating an account so I could post my e-Bay experiences. There is a huge warning not to include links in my first 10 messages, so I'll have to edit to include links to the e-Bay sellers later. But they appear to be the usual suspects based on advice I've gleaned from this thread. This sudden switch to working at home is going to bankrupt me with all the time spent browsing e-Bay and the online shops and researching old toys I have and ones I always wished I had.

It started off so innocently with me finally getting tempted by MP-36 Megatron and MP-11 Starscream as the only two figures I'd get just to fill a hole on a shelf. Both came from wangs2-19 and were fast and hassle free taking about 4 weeks. wangs2-19 since removed all their listings.

Since I'm an engineer and still have the original Devastator on my home office shelf, I was tempted into an NBK OS Devastator from wolvesbabies in February. I swear he doesn't keep anything in stock because it took 3 weeks to ship, but then only about 3 weeks to arrive in the middle of the pandemic so it was all good.

Then my self looked so empty with no Autobots to stop all those Decepticons so I went for an MP-10 Optimus Prime (no box) from bababobo00712. And some energon cubes. Also went well.

But what are Megs and Starscream without MP-13 Soundwave? And MP-11T Thundercracker since he was so cheap? tj_dynng-8 filled those holes. And very well. Great packing and very quick shipment. I've been happy with his service and keep checking his store. Still only Feb 2020 and despite the world ending, all the packages have made it in reasonable time. Normally 4 or 5 weeks.

Then my first scammer. jz_3008 is a worthless creep. Ordered MP-29 Shockwave and MP-11SW Skywarp. Neither box ever made it and jz_3008 just closed his account. PayPal took about 3 weeks to refund my money.

Went back with tj_dynng-8 in April 2020 to fill in MP-29 Shockwave and grabbed MP-18 Bluestreak (one of my old figures). Bluestreak arrived in about 3 weeks, but Shockwave didn't arrive for 88 days. tj_dynng-8 was responsive and told me he had to use a slower shipper since Shockwave looks like a gun. My faith was rewarded by waiting almost the full 90 days on the original shipping estimate. April and May and June were bad months for overseas shipping.

Now I had two seekers, and just had to have a Skywarp to round things out. Tried fzchen1_28 and he turned out to be my second scammer. After I ordered there were dozens of negative reviews flooding in. He fell 100% down to 83.4%. What a jerk. Not even a sponge or Lego figure for my troubles. It took PayPal another 3 weeks or so to refund my money.

After thinking I had the 3 main seekers on the way, I did order the KBB Thrust and Ramjet from wolvesbabies at the end of June. Once again it took a long time to get shipped, but then made it just fine. KBB didn't have the best quality plastic tray (Ramjet was practically falling through the bottom and loose in his sealed box), but they're both fine for static displays. Just need to figure out this sticker thing for them.

After two fiascos with Skywarp, I was determined to get one no matter the cost. Third try for MP-11SW from miffy21584 worked well. Also got the MP-21 Bumblebee and Spike. Good shipping. Well packed. No complaints. This was June 26, 2020 and arrived July 16.

Then a couple more figures from tj_tynng-8 that only took about 5 weeks to arrive. On Aug 7, 16, and 17 I got bored and started browsing again. Got KFC Opticlones and the bagged-Galvatron from bababobo00712, MP-28 from toutiaotnto, and BMB Dinobots from bidders_park. All arrived at my office today so hopefully I get an excuse to go into the office tomorrow. Based on the comments on this thread I don't expect an issue with any of them.

Now just waiting on mr.brian2009 who it looks like is having terrible shipping problems. Went for a Jin Bao OS Bruticus back on August 25. Only now seems to be shipping, but the China Post updates are all actually in Chinese so I can't read them. Also went for a DX9 Gabriel on BigBadToyStore as I need someone for my Devastator to beat up on. Hopefully that pre-order comes through.

Wow, that's a lot of money. Thanks for everyone who posts to this thread who has helped me steer clear of some of the bad apples and what to watch out for.

 

you can use ALL-IN-ONE PACKAGE TRACKING | 17TRACK to track your packages and there's an option the you can check the box off for to translate to english for any that comes through as chinese.

 

Thanks, TIKnTIN! That 17 Track website worked a treat and translated to english for me. My package from mr.brian2009 seems to be on the move. I was worried after reading some of the other posts on this page, but I'll trust that the mr.b/yellowB is still treating me right after everyone else has had good experiences.

Laserbeak had the flaw where you cant fold up his tiny wing things. I reached out to him and he offered to replace it. Followed up after a month and I still dont have it. I got the goods, but got no support after.

 

Excellent in-depth write up. Looks like we bought from a bunch of the same people. Luckily, I didnt experience any scammers so far!

 

I have had good luck with him so no immediate need to worry, what shipping option did you use for bababobo?

 

fyi, it seems to be common to get a defective laserbeak with MP-13 direct KO where the fin on the thruster section does not fold open/close properly and it can end up breaking. several ppl including myself experienced this. better to see if you can get a partial refund and buy the loose one that's floating around on eBay for $10-15. i grabbed one and it's was a superior quality cassette.

 

I used the cheapest shipping/default from bababobo00712 from his e-Bay page. He had the Big Cannon Galvatron as free shipping and $13 shipping for the KFC Opticlones. Checking the tracking it looks like he combined them both into a single China Post tracking number. 22 days from order to delivery. Actually would have been 20 days except that USPS tried to deliver it on Saturday when my office is closed. I send all my packages to my business office since the weekday postal lady stops in every day to cool off and eat her lunch (and in the winter she warms up and eats her lunch). There's always someone at the front desk to receive the packages.

It's great to be on good terms with the local carrier so nothing gets lost or miss-delivered in the final few miles. Much better than the Amazon driver. I can watch that Amazon van go around in circles in my work neighborhood. I may be the 4th next package for delivery at 11:30 am, but once watched that van on the Amazon app drive around until 5:15pm before finally pulling in. Glad I knew it was coming so worked late to get my package.

 

Mr.Brian2009 is good. I picked up both Jinbao Devastator and Bruticus from him and I got them in over a bit of a 3 weeks time span. In the same order, I bought Siege Omega Supreme from him and I think it got stuck at customs so he went and re-shipped another one to me and I got that one about 2 weeks after. I just bought a couple more things from him last week and they're in transit.

I haven't read the previous post as I'm just coming across this thread now but I have a case against that seller also. Did he ship you a lego man? I paid this Azzhole $137 for a MMC Ox Max Springer and this clown sent me a lego. I have to wait till Thursday to escalate my claim and have Ebay step in. I hope I get my money sent back and they don't say I have to ship this BS back to him in order for me to get my refund. Before I purchased from him his feedback was good but when I was sent that lego I went back to his account and noticed he made his page private and has 60 negative feedbacks in 1 month. SMH.

Got scammed by him recently also. I got my money back 2 weeks ago.

Good luck, keep a eye that guy. I bought 2 items from him and he has yet to send me tracking and hasn't responded to any of my messages and I've been messaging him everyday after 5 days had passed and I didn't get any tracking. It's going on a week and half since my purchases. I wish I could actually punch all these scammers in the face myself.

seller won't respond and eBay will give a swift response in refunding you once you ask them to step in. you won't need to ship anything back. i submitted photos of the padded envelope with the tracking number to match the one provided for the purchase, as well as the KO lego minifig as proof.

I received tracking fairly quickly and it's moving, slowly cause it's EMS. Hopefully it's Beachcomber in the box and not a sponge. I'll keep you updated. Plus Miffy was on the good seller list, with people receiving what they ordered. I'm not too worried!

 

I learned a new trick on my phone yesterday, while copying and pasting a tracking number to EMS. Somehow a “space” got pasted in front of it, and it kicked me to another page with two boxes, that automatically chose my carrier. Use THAT page to track (without the space), and it works.

Otherwise, it was saying it was not found.lol

 

Waiting on Beachcomber from Miffy too. Here’s hoping it’s shipping error or wording but mine says OFD but not in my state.

 

latest scam delivery. even more saddened that it's not another lego minifig KO to add to my collection.

Has anyone ever figured out what Lego Minifigure Collectors receive when e-Bay sellers scam them?

And to keep things on topic, I had a moment of weakness last night before bed. tj_dynng-8 had the MP Prowl back in stock. I guess I'm collecting the figures my little brother also had but wouldn't share. Prowl and Red Alert. And Swideswipe just because he shows up all the time in other media.

Need advice on what to do if tracking says delivered but I did not receive item?

I ordered apc prime nemesis figure from seller ztt06989. Price was a bit too low to be true but not too far off, seemed unlikely fig to phish with, feedback looked ok, wasn't on bad seller list here, and PayPal buyer protection refund seemed easy enough. But after checking sellers other listings were way too low to be true I messaged seller to cancel and refund. Went back and forth asked 3 times to cancel but seller still shipped instead of refund.

As expected a week later seller was no longer registered and all listings gone.

So now the tracking says delivered to my correct zip code, but I didn't receive any package no Lego figure or keychain trinket whatever to dispute item not as described.

If I open claim as item not received will I be denied refund because tracking says delivered? I will call PayPal / eBay but wanted to check first for any tips on what to do or expect.
