ShowZ seems to have updated all their pictures now. It doesn't really look that much different, in my opinion, and that car mode is still superb... it's what sold me on it in the first place.

 

They showed off Arcee/Nicee off first, though. Seems like their other projects just moved into production faster. Maybe because they were smaller/less demanding (Red Motor and co.), or maybe their ability to solicit through proper channels brought the funding in faster, and fast-tracked their development.

Again, the fact that they have a large number of fully legit products in the dockets probably influences their decision to play it safe. That BFB actually risks business deals falling through and the litigation that could entail introduces a unique complication that most other 3Ps don't have to deal with.

 

None of that is unreasonable. I can definitely understand why they did it; I just think that there had to be a better compromise that didn’t trigger mass cancellation and rage. I’ll always maintain that they could have just altered the G1 head more, rather than giving us a second copy of (The wife is telling me it’s called “shoujo?”) head.. but I guess people will let them know how they feel with their wallets.

It's not like a modified Arcee head would be significantly different from what they've got now. Just remove the "bangs", and it's still pretty Arcee-esque. Still has rounded ear bits.

"Shoujo" just means "girl", so that's probably not particularly descriptive for whatever your wife has in mind. The whole figure is in the "Bishoujo" (beautiful girl) style, original Arcee head included.

The headsculpts with the robo-"hair" are vaguely reminiscent of the female CAST units from PSO2, to me.

ShowZ is listing Nicee as inbound now, and they've got an unboxing video of a sample on her order page.

 

Just emailed Showz to change my order to mmc exitus. I have an MP Arcee and a Generations Arcee. I was willing to get this because I liked car mode and at least it did not have a "giggly boob" replacement. They have changed too much on it for me, and added the "giggly boob" replacement. I dont need that in my collection of robots from my favorite childhood show. Go for it, guys...

Question regarding Show.Z Store. When you're getting 200 free points for sharing your order online like twitter and your post gets more than 5 likes, are you also given the premium membership on top of that? Or are you only given that if you choose the 2-month membership over the 200 points? I wanna know this before I fully pay for my Nicee order. I had already shared my Irontrans Star Blade online and got the 200 points as well as the points I got from buying him. But I have no idea if I also got that membership which gives you 3% off all orders.

 

TFDirect just invoiced me today for Nicee. Maybe there is some movement here after all.

I had preordered it initially but cancelled a while ago when I saw it had a certain *ahem* detail that I hadn’t previously noticed. It changed my perception of the aesthetics from it being a stylized piece to something far different.

Not really a boob jiggle. Just an extra pair of boobs that's instead made of either rubber or soft plastic. While the other pair is hard plastic. I don't think the soft pair would giggle if you shook it anyway.

 

You're right. Since this is about delays, and the fact that Nicee is coming out now, I'm willing the bet that part of the reason that the Magic Henshin girls were delayed was so that their's and Nicee's releases didn't overlap and eat into each other.

If anybody is skilled at navigating that site and gleaning information, perhaps they can determine whether this is meant to be a small production run, or just a one-off from a frustrated and resourceful private collector. I noticed that the face is slightly longer and thinner than the cancelled production head, so this is likely modeled from scratch and not factory leak:

 

Still excited that she's finally being released. Pre-ordered and prepaid a while back. Overall, I think she turned out great.
The final design and the car mode just look fantastic and both the ability to remove the kibble in the back but also serves as a weapon accessory is also great.
I am disappointed that they scrapped the G1 Arcee-inspired head as it really did change the entire aesthetic and personae of the figure.
Also have the Henshin combiners pre-ordered and prepaid. Although Red Moto is delayed till November, I hope we get some more details and pics in the coming weeks to pine over in the interim.

 

Still hoping the arcee head will be hidden in the box, but I doubt it.
