CABB919C-07A0-42B2-B287-E7EEA9A370B9.jpeg This was my first commissioned piece, My client asked me to base it on art by Kriksix on reddit as a replacement for earthrise arcee.(I also asked permission from kriksix to use this design if that matters to anyone)

This figure took about a week to complete which is probably my quickest turnaround, though the thought of being payed by someone and doing this during schooldays in a couple weeks put me off prologuing the project at all. Though not quick enough to beat waffle/Sam’s Forge to it :p

Thanks for viewing! for anyone interested the files are up on my cults page now for £3. (Download STL file Great Aunt (not transformers Arcee) transformable, posable action figure ・ Cults) I have made some exclusive accessories for the commissioner also to keep it fair but everything pictured is included.
Comments, Questions and criticism highly appreciated as always!

Needs quite a bit of work proportionally but not a bad start.

Man that is cool, I'd love to be able to make print figures of models myself one day, did you have any annoying moments while creating it?

It looks so G1 I kind of want to take out some of the articulation and put it next to G1 hotrod. Like an alternate universe where this was the movie toy that came out in '85.

agreed but making the arms shorter comes at the cost of making the waist sorter or legs longer by the same amount and if I make the waist shorter the feet will suffer too. My next project is focussed a lot more on proportions because so far everything has been a little wonky

I don’t tend to find things annoying when modelling because I enjoy figuring stuff out but the most annoying thing is finding the right tolerance between parts, as to do that you usually have to print a few of the same part before finding the sweet spot, which creates a lot of waste. If you’d like any modelling tips when designing feel free to pm me, when I get my new laptop I plan on making some tinkercad transformer tutorials.

I thought so too! If you want I can remove the articulation and upscale to late 85 bot size then sell as a separate file.

Don't do it on my account. I don't have a 3d printer so for me it was just a nice thought
