THANK YOU! You finally triggered my brain to realize what the Komplex ships reminded me of. At first I though "Reaver" ships from Serenity/Firefly, but they're a little too "wingy" to as close to Reaver ships as my brain thought. But then I remembered back to a game I used to play in college: Freespace/Freespace 2. These Komplex ships absolutely make me think of the Shivan ships from that game. Or I guess if the Reaver ships and the Shivan ships had offspring. Ha!
Picked up the Lancer today. Neat little ship. Ordered the White Tank and $15 red ship. Should be here Thursday.
I only have the sabre set because shipping is a bit expensive for Europe. I did manage to make 2 custom aircraft out of this 1 set: on the left a stealth glider, no engines so it would need to be launched. on the right a missile drone, useful for defending outposts. and a photo of the underside if you want to replicate these:
Ymmv, but I just got a Scarab from a local Target for $5 on clearance. They had one more at that price, but none of the other ships were marked down.

I found the Scarab on clearance at Target for 7.99. Was curious to check out this line. Definitely impressed and will grab a few more to see what I can create.
