My Aoyi Mech Jazz and NewAge Soundwave shipped from Show Z. I paid for shipping so hopefully it won’t be too long of a wait. Hopefully TF Dream Factory Bonecrusher and Zeus Shockwave ship soon. Those I may be waiting a bit for but they will be worth it.

I know I’ve been recommended other 3P/KO MPM scaled figures but I’m really just focusing on Movie 1-3 Characters.

    Here’s a list of everything I have/plan to get.
    - MPM Ironhide
    - MPM Ratchet
    - MPM Starscream
    - Black Mamba Barricade
    - Black Mamba Brawl
    - TF Dream Factory Bonecrusher
    - Honey Badger Megatron
    - Legendary Toys Optimus Prime
    - Weijiang Blackout
    - Zeus Toys Shockwave
    - Aoyi Mech Jazz
    - NewAge Soundwave

Are there any other characters from 1-3 that are in this scale by a 3P/KO company?

So do I go for MPM Starscream or wait for a 4th party version. Not really interested in a ROTF paint job, but some of the paint choices on the official release irk me.

Tax Free weekend in Mass so today would be a nice day to buy.

"Yes yes, Soundwave. Now move, you're in the way. High Definition is trying to transmit the flesh creatures' national sporting event. I believe it's called Hockey."

Rumble: Check that hit! Ouch. Must be an autobot to go down that soft. Lol

Tax What What, now? Y'all have a weekend of no taxes on purchases? Seriously?

Ah. Thought it was the PERU guys working their magic.

That's cool. A little restrictive but I can see how they arrived at the choices on what counts and what doesn't. Lucky guy.

That Long Haul is a much better configuration imo. It’s accurate to the CGI model.

Honestly there's just something about La Hire that I don't enjoy. I LOVE his alt mode, but I don't keep my bots in alt mode.

I also hate that chunk of ass that BMB's Prime has, so he's a no no for me.
Man, that's awesome that they're including the new head!! I probably would've kept mine had it had three better head.

I don't know about Prime's blue windows though, it kinda throws me off. Are you in the states?
    Impressive, as always!!
Yea, I have to agree with this!! I was really hoping for an articulated scoop, but they may still throw that in. So fingers crossed!!

Figured I’d post my thoughts on this MPM Starscream:
He’s a good figure, and he goes along great with the other MPM’s. However there are a few questionable design choices I’ve found. But to start the paint and color of the figure is spot on in my opinion. I’ve always preferred the no tattoo look of the first movie. There is some silver scattered throughout, such as on the forearms, crotch, and thighs, and the gold highlights around the face and body help to bring out some of the detail this guy has. The accessories are expected but also compliment the figure very well. Also worth noting are his fingers (not sure about the thumbs) are made of a soft plastic that can warp. Now to the bad. The transformation is an example of why many people were initially turned away by movie figures. It’s not so much complex as it is just a jumble of parts that need to be arranged correctly. The end result in robot mode is worth it though, the jet, not so much in my opinion. I’m not a designer but I feel like the kibble under the jet could have been managed much better. But I display my figures in robot mode so it’s not that much of a deal breaker. What can be a deal breaker though is the feet. The “chicken feet” that strongly resemble the HFTF leader class lack ratchet joints. The rest of the figure has ratchets, but the components that support the figure do not. Why this decision was made is beyond me, but it causes balancing issues. The figure is top and back heavy, and as such has a tendency to tip backwards quite a bit. But because of the ratchets, this issue is difficult to manage. I’ve found difficulty posing him due to the lack of ratchets. This I think is the most important thing to keep in mind with this guy. Balance and posing, at least for me, has been difficult to say the least. All in all though, he’s a solid addition to the MPM line up. While I wouldn’t consider him one of the best, he is one of the better releases. I’d put him below Bee and Megatron, and on par with Jazz and Barricade. I’d recommend him if you’re continuing the line or trying to get started. He’s a good offering.
(On another note my copy has a black splotch of paint on the crotch assembly, which is painted silver. Anyone have a method for removing the black splotch without damaging the silver paint?)
Edit: the feet click in if you push them back via a tab. It keeps the figure stable. However it causes a loss of some foot articulation. I still stand my my earlier opinion that ratcheted feet would have helped the figure, but my complaint about balance is something I’ll retract.

DNA listened to fans and added ball joint wrists to the Blackout kit.

Hopefully any other small adjustments we ask for can be implemented on the Devastator kit too.

Tried to look into finding different base setups or dioramas for taller figures. My FEXT setup is 4 of them put together but that is fairly expensive (bought mine before the almost 50% price hike). This one is made by NECA and called Street Scene Diorama. Runs $100 on Amazon. I got mine locally and had a lower price after some trade-ins. With the included backdrop attached, it is taller than Titan Class figures.

For the past few months I noticed that we are getting more Earthrise reveals and less on Studio Series.

But we see more Studio Series in stores than any Earthrise toys.
