Got my hands on a War Machine and another Iron Man. Really only wanted Iron Man for the accessories, so if anyone is looking for an Iron Man body w/ the 6 extra hands and 2 wrist blade/shooting things, LMK. Was looking at $40 SHIPPED G&S. Anyways, I checked out WM for a bit and all the small joints for the accessories feel a bit loose.
hey guys! Complete noob here! I have always collected transformers but I recently started watching My Hero Academia and gosh Im in love with this show, so that button in my brain has switched where I NEED these characters on my shelf! From what I can gather the best representations of these characters are gonna be either Figma or Amazing Yamaguchi, This recently released Deku looks amazing and so does their upcoming All might. Questions: 1)How much was his guy when pre ordering? Cheapest I can find him is 76+ shipping oncuribo 2) Should I bother waiting for a KO of this instead? I am aware that there are usually bootlegs of these, but not sure how quick they are usually made, how the quality is or what price I should expect Sorry for all these questions but this will be my first time jumping into the Japanese import scene so I am a total NOOB at this hahah
His pre-order price was around $60-$70. He is still available at this price but then you have to add shipping from Japan. Don't buy knock-offs Amazing Yamaguchi Series No.018 Izuku Midoriya Figure Complex Amazing Yamaguchi Series No.018 [Izuku Midoriya] (PVC Figure) - HobbySearch PVC Figure Store
Might be cheapest to order direct from Japan, HLJ has it for 6825 yen: Amazing Yamaguchi Series No.018 Izuku Midoriya Hobbysearch also has it for 6375 yen: Figure Complex Amazing Yamaguchi Series No.018 [Izuku Midoriya] (PVC Figure) - HobbySearch PVC Figure Store But both those prices don't include shipping. I don't know if it's guaranteed that there'll be a bootleg but if there is, quality would obviously be lacking. I don't own any bootlegs though so I don't really know for sure.
Ahhh i see, so the best is to order from japan? doesn't that mean you'd have to pay a crap tone of customs? Anything over £15 here in the UK means it will get customs charges and that usually means having to pay at least £20 extra
I guess you could do the math. lol. HLJ gives shipping rates for in-stock items when you add them to your cart so you can see how much shipping to the UK is and then estimate how much customs you'd get charged. Then compare the total price of the figure+shipping+customs to local sources to see which would be cheaper.
You'll have to see for yourself. Someone has to ship these figures from Japan, and it's either you or a local retailer. And those want their cut as well, it may end up being more than private shipping+customs, it may end up being less. Another factor is time. It'll usually take another month or so until these show up at local retailers, you'll most certainly get yours faster if you ship yourself. I personally like to buy from local etailers if feasible, it's just less of a hassle and supports the economy
Ive been thinking about it, and it looks like the royal mail charges a £8 flat fee for processing the package on top of the 20% from the value of the parcel. It would seem that the best way to save money would be to import various items in one single order/package so that paying that extra £8 is more worth it.
That's how I've been doing it. It's very easy to create shipments with HLJs Private Warehouse. And I'd say just give it a go. Customs can be whack, I've been trying to understand ours for years and I still fail to calculate the correct charges.
ahh nice! So you have been doing it for a while then, so am I correct in saying that royal mail will always charge £8 for just one parcel? From what I can tell anything above £15 gets charged with VAT plus the Royal mail fee, but if it is over £140 then you have to pay VAT(20%)+ Royal Mail fee+ Customs duty(about 3.5% ish) How has the importing experience to the UK been for you so far? Ever been hit with some outrageous amount?
I'm sorry, you misunderstood. I live in Germany, we only got 19% import tax on every shipment and additional taxes on shipments from 150€ upwards.
Sorry for not replying for so long. Thats the Assemble Borg "Skull Spartan". Assemble Borgs are a unique line from revoltech that are designed to be taken apart and recombined into different forms. That form was just one I made up using a couple of the Skull Spartans and 1 of the other assemble borgs.
