I was quite happy with my Trypticons, got 3 of them actually, but you gave me a reason to tinker with at least one of them. His height is a bit "short" with Metroplex and you fixed this. You should create a finish mass produce product and this is considered an upgrade kit.

And for my next trick; a gun for Earthrise Scorponok that can be used in all 3 modes: as a gun in robot mode, bigger sting in scorpion mode and tower/bridge in base mode.

    Transforming process into sting mode:

No parts forming from gun to sting but you have to separate the two side parts from the rest to form tower and bridge.

Wow!!!! I missed this one browsing thru before, but I'm glad I saw it this time. That is a very clean "lift kit" for Trypticon and I simply love it. You would never know (initially) that this was a 'lego custom' without seeing the pictures of the build. Beautifully done and it works so well in all of his modes. Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you so much for your words. Many of my inspiration comes from the ideas, projects, artworks and stories of other people, that's why I ever share my projects and ideas freely to all so we all can grow up together in this wonderful world of Transformers.

He’s so stealthy absolutely nobody would notice that a colossal city-sized Godzilla Transformer would have attempted to rob a meagre jewellery store.

    Yep! ABSOLUTELY NO-ONE would notice!

For the size the feet need to be, 3D printing them would be pretty costly, in terms of machine time and material cost.

    That's right, and even more, I don't have a 3D printer :p
hehe, that's why I put the pictures of the prototype so anybody can make their own, in toypro.com you can buy the individual pieces except for the ratchet ones because they are from Mega Bloks, the series Blok Bots, they are old sets but still can be found in ebay, the rest is just some sand paper, glue and spray paint :thumb

Is there a chance of you willing to share/show us how to build the feet, block by block like a lego manual? I am motivated to build this and superglue all the pieces together with paint

This is the best I can do because I don't have anymore all the right pieces but hope will be helpful.

The trick is this ratchet connector from Mega Bloks old sets:

    And the "instructions":

    And just plug together:

Probe of concept and prototype ready. Gun can be splitted into big articulated sting and two canons for scorpion mode and for base mode into tower/canon on the left and attack tower with radar on the right. Now some improvements, sanding, add details, paint and done.
