I’m glad I only bought Seige Soundblaster, I won’t feel like I’m double dipping when I get this Soundwave. It’ll be nice to finally have a good mainline Soundwave after years of only having his WFC/FOC figures.

Looks good but not enough to replace my Siege Soundwave and I already have Ravage and Laserbeak. I have Rumble and Ratbat, all I need is Frenzy but I missed out on the damn Selects Cassette pack and it has yet to come back in stock.

To be fair, Takara has ALWAYS had red Rumble blue Frenzy, even in their dub of the cartoon. It was Sunbow who goofed it up. The original series bible even had it right.

I just find it ridicules that the same material a K.O has is pretty much the same Hasbro uses but for a higher price.

I just bought Frenzy and Buzzsaw for $17 bucks just to take a chance and was pretty impressed by it.

 

I really cannot wait to get this figure. My local Wal-Mart is inconsistent on getting new stuff, so I may have to travel a town or two to find the new Netflix figures when they come out. Also, I hope this version of Soundwave gets redone into Soundblaster, maybe as a Selects figure?

 

I hoping he’s redecoed as Sounblaster too since I missed out on him the first time. They could also give him the mercenary insignia as well to go along with his appearance in the Netflix series.

For me, with the Datsuns specifically, I always had issues with the proportions on the Siege versions. The legs and abdomen looked weird, and the Earthrise ones fix that. I also grew up with BW so it's not really about it not looking like my childhood either, the Siege ones just looked odd, is the best way I can put it. For other figures, like Hound and Sideswipe, I think they look earthy enough to not need a do over, though I wouldn't say no to a Mirage that doesn't use clear plastic, like how the Netflix one was

Never trust Takara prototype images, theirs will have yellow eyes as well. They don't do their own production runs anymore

 

I just want to see Optimus images. Especially the Battle Masters

 

Yea...I’ve never succeeded in ordering any limited distribution toy from their site. Even preorders. I will say I’ve always found stock at least once in store. I’m feeling different about this Soundwave though. Even casual fans would probably get one.
