• Micron: Buzzsaw seems a very likely candidate, and Flipsides maybe? I'd like to see Oiler and Slide in there as well if it'll be like the Selects Spy Patrol. Alternatively it could be Blaster from Netflix Soundwave with Rewind and/or Eject and either Ramhorn or Steeljaw retooled from Ravage.
• Dominus: Probably Headmasters. How's about some Titans Return retools? Fangry from Grotusque and Nightbeat from Chromedome.
• Gobotron Botropolis: Leader-1 from Earthrise Starscream, Cy-Kill from, I guess Studio Series '86 Wreck-Gar if I'm remembering that leak correctly.
• Biosphera: It'll be Beast Wars. I dunno, Tarantulas annnnnd Beast Wars Grimlock?

 

Has Inferno been shown on the Target or Walmart leaks list? I can't recall seeing him on either but I wasn't paying super close attention. And things are getting moved around constantly now. Another interesting observation is that in the whole Earthrise line, Trailbreaker is the only remold/repaint coming at normal retail - all the others are exclusive or online only. Which could explain Inferno getting moved, even if Kingdom is technically a separate line from Earthrise.

Another thing that would be nice to see: "Deluxe" Insecticon two-packs (later remolded into "Basic" Insecticons). Just fills out the show roster and gets some more "beast" modes out there.

We had separate listings for Ratchet according to some rumors. There's at least some reasonable speculation that ER wave 4 got shifted into these boxed sets with new exclusives as stores have had trouble getting timely ER waves 1-3.

As it stands, Diamond Distribution retailers (comic shops and indie toy shops not affiliated with EE) haven't gotten all their wave 1 orders yet. Waves 2 and 3 are coming out awfully close together and so the rationale would be that Hasbro shifted Wave 4 to these 2 packs with new redecos/retools filling them out so they can still hit Kingdom and Studio Series 86 in 2021 for the BW and 86 movie anniversaries.

I think it's hard to say for sure until we see more of these if they follow the trend we see here of a likely solo retail release candidate like Ratchet paired with a Selects or new redeco release candidate like Lifeline.

 

Call me crazy, but I'd like to see this line of exclusives go past 5 releases.

Getting bots from other world colonies makes me happy for some reason, and is another good way to get out more random bots that haven't already been re-hashed to death.

I actually was talking about G1 Inferno getting moved over to the exclusives category. He is a popular character, but usually not too important to storylines. And he is a fairly simple repaint/remold. Both characteristics he would have in common with any of the coneheads. And Earthrise managed to make some fairly important characters like Soundwave and Bee into exclusives, in addition to guys like Dirge. Plus it feels like a lot of Kingdom's voyager slots are already spoken for with Cyclonus, Primal, Dinobot, and Starscream (in some form) probably coming and more important than Inferno.

It's not really reasonable speculation though, unless you're looking at things in a vacuum
-Ratchet was found in Canadian toysrus computers for "leader price" and probably as a selects (though I'm not sure if it was actually listed as selects)
-Ratchet was thought to come with medical tools to bulk him up to leader price after the centurion pack was shown (this was never a solid rumor, just people running wild with speculation)
-Credible leaker said Ratchet would come with Lifeline
-Credible leaker said he wasn't sure if they were a 2 pack or individual
-The 2 pack comes in selects style packaging, so the whole subline could have been selects at one point
-Currency conversion and foreign prices can be wonky at times, it's possible in Canada the 2 pack will be more expensive than $40 USD

as far as wave 4, we are still getting it, it's Earthrise wave 3. Siege stole an early wave from Earthrise. Earthrise with 4 waves minus 1 wave given to Siege means there is only 3 waves left for Earthrise.

So other than that, my only hopes are Buzzsaw and Micromasters Hot House and Greasepit. Somehow. Airwave and Ironworks have their little guys, we need the other two!

 

I'm both hoping and dreading Buzzsaw being in one of these sets because I need 2. 1 for Soundwave and 1 for Soundblaster

 

I could not agree more! Has there been confirmation that this line is all 2 packs? I recall the listing mentions 5 total packs, which would imply that at least none will be 1 figure only. I would sincerely hope we would get some packs of differing numbers and size classes. It would be cool to see someone from the Ark encounter two beasts, or having someone (like Blaster maybe??) encounter a smattering of micromasters.

No confirmation yet, just inference from the description. I would be delighted if this wasn’t the case, as -as you say- it’d be nice to see a bit more variety.

Barricade likely won't be in Selects given that a listing for him was found in Wal-Mart computers for Netflix wave 3. Most figure that's going to be the Earth mode version of Barricade based on Earthrise Smokescreen. Also, while it would be nice to get BW Inferno (or Tarantulas or Terrorsaur) this way... I don't think that's very likely. You mentioned Ratchet/Ironhide but they're actually retooled from the Siege mold not all new. The only time in recent memory I can think of a completely new mold being released as an exclusive was Punch/Counterpunch.

Overall though it's really hard to guess what they're going to do with these outside of the vague ideas we have about each planet.

Yeah, I'd like that too... looking at the partially completed map and ignoring Cybertron since I doubt they'd do one for the Autobot/Decepticon homeworld... there are at least ten more planets they could make "adventures" for (nine if they don't do one for Unicron).

 

I see mostly Autobot guesses here but i do think that we will see at least two Decepticon packs. I think most of the packs will be natives joining with the visitor from the Ark/Nemesis. Probably one Seeker (Nacelle or Blackout would be cool). My hopes would be that we see one of the Spinout/Cordon duo and the other in Selects, Clampdown from Red Alert, Blaster from NFLX Soundwave with his Cassettes, Buzzsaw, Nacelle or Blackout, and if they are really crazy bust out the long rumored, not truly substantiated in anyway Earthmode Sideswipe!

 

Fingers crossed that hasbro retools the voyager Tetra Jet mold into Needlenose to homage his WFC TCG art. He’d be a perfect fit for the Dominus set.  

I mean a new mold would be nice but after losing 2 fan votes in a row, I’ll settle for a retool.

 

Question I had is how are these all going to get revealed - 1 a week for the next month or so? it's a crowded Calendar

Transformers Tuesdays will end on 9/8. I think that Selects will finish out for the year after that.

The rumored Pulse Con is supposed to be the weekend of 9/19 & 9/20 which is 4 weekends away. I anticipate that Studio Series 86 and Kingdom will be officially launched at that time so at least 9 or 10 Kingdom pre-orders and 3 to 5 SS 86 preorders.

Like will all 4 sets be ready for Christmas time this year because Amazon is going to want them all revealed by 10/1 then.

Any thoughts?
