Finally got the big guy put together.

Very impressed looks great (awful photography aside). Here he is with a couple of well known bots for size comparison.. IMG20200825192249.jpg

Niceeeeeee, I imagine pictures don't really do him justice anyways. I decided to preorder him I'm digging the metallic look.

    I GOTS HIM!

Transformation sucks, but he looks amazing in combined mode. And unlike Superitron, there are no paint issues or missing pieces.

I left the propeller blades off. Just too messy looking imo.

Anyone have any mods or advice to make the propellor on vortex 4 blades instead of 5? Other than painting the eyes on mine that is the only other thing I’d change.

Mine had a smear of missing paint on the toy-ish tech detail chest plate for onslaught. Its a diff color than everything around it, but still painted like one layer rubbed off but the lower layer didn't.

I display onslaught with the smooth toon chest because of this. No paint issues on that side

It really is one of the most impressive things I've bought so far and the metallic finish is wonderful. It was hard work though; rewarding in its way but I won't be changing him back and forth.

Despite my awful picture taking I think looking again that seeing him up against Fans Hobby's version of Thunderclash (with his awesome gold paint) is actually a good comparison. I did it mainly for a size reference but I think the quality of finish on both paint wise is comparable.

The helicopter rotor has 6 blades. Once you get them all on they look fine too. You need a pair of pliers to apply pressure though and to be brave; a couple of times I was worried the pin might crack the plastic but it was fine.

You can always manoeuvre two of the blades to sit close to their neighbouring blade. You get a thicker look but if you put them both together they will weigh it so they're at the bottom (and you lose the thickness amongst the bot). Alternatively you have them at the poles so it balances out.

    Not 100%, but options...

I remember reviews of the original set having stability issues. Reviewers said Superitron and Constructor were much more stable. I don't know if anything changed, but I've been playing with the metallic version since I got him yesterday and he seems just as stable, possibly slightly more stable than Superitron. Constructor is still the most stable of the bunch though.

I do find it odd that they went through the trouble of making a toon chest addition for the new metallic Superitron, but didn't include the toon chest in the new metallic Bruticon that was included with the original... Edit: Wait... maybe I'm thinking of a different company's Bruticus... Still odd that one has one but the other doesn't.

Not that I would use either toon chest. I like the toy versions better.

Armageddon has stability issues at the knee of Swindle. Bruticon fixed that first go around. Everyone thought they missed a trick on the chest plate at the time, given it was a toon version, and Superitron having a toon add on really made me wonder... but nope!

It's unique toys that has the toon chest plate, fyi.

I do wish Zeta sold things individually. I'd like to mix and match some stuff from the toon vs with the original. I like the the original release mostly more, just would like, for example, the newer arms over the initial release (Pink vs black)

Actually my non-metallic Bruticon leans backwards way more than my metallic Superitron, maybe I'm missing something when I combined him? What's the key to balancing him? (other than the hips, where I 'maxed out' the slider to help move the torso forward as much as possible or he'd topple instantly)

Bruticon just is way more back heavy than Superitron, there's no way around it... he has those bigass guns on his back, throwing off his center of mass.

Try using his ab crunch. I have mine with the ab crunch at one click to help shift the weight from his backpack forward a bit.

hey Guy, Seeing how you have laid eyes on these springs that Zeta is using for the knee connectors, Can you post pics of these springs?

If this has been posted somewhere else on the forum or in this thread I apologize. Thank you for your time.

I want to fix the Swindle connection by myself but I'm pretty much one handed due to an injury. Does anyone know the measurements of the springs by any chance? I've found some websites that sell replacement springs for hobbyists already.
