The leg is mistransformed in the group shot. Pretty clear the arm has a hinge that lets it come up and cover that joint. My guess is the design is such that you can expose those in bot mode (or alt I suppose) and connect Weaponizer bits to it.

 

Cant be too big a deal if hasbro hasnt had these taken down from front page.

Beast Wars was never my thing.
I did LOVE the tv show, but never got into the toys much....
I do like the characters, though!

I've been pretty sure I'm going to pass up any of the BW figures, but.... That cheetor is looking pretty darn good....

Most importantly why is no one mentioning that Cheetor's tail transforms into a vacuum cleaner accessory?

 

Gotta say, even though no-one likes to see someone lose their job (unless they're terrible and harmful in it) if you're leaking stuff that Corporate doesn't want you to leak, everything that spins out from that decision, regardless of promises people make to you, is on you: you've no-one to blame but yourself.

 

by all accounts, I wholly expect these to be out before Christmas @captain N (likely late November-mid Dec., going off history)

it LOOKS like the "shoulder pads" of the cheetah mode are sitting lower on the group picture then the individual ~ I'd imagine the are supposed to be up higher covering that blue/grey piece? almost looks like it should plug into that and that would be the "true" shoulder.

 

Re: the shoulder ports on Cheetor, anyone consider that maybe it's correctly assembled, but that the forward legs can be mistransformed to expose a 5mm port to plug stuff into?

 

I\'m a huge beast wars fan but to be really honest I\'m not excited by these. I said I wouldn\'t cast judgement until I saw them all but we now have what appears to be 3 leaked and I\'m just not happy with what I\'m seeing.

All those samples are likely mistransformed. The cheetah shoulders probably invert and fold over those joints, and that step wasn't performed. The stock image also suggests that the robot feet should fold and hide away better, instead of sticking straight out awkwardly like that photo.

 

The top picture is the finished product design, the bottom picture is unfinished production samples.

Oh also since everyone else is saying it: 'mistransformed'

 

Cheetor looks a little iffy in spots (heh), but overall, does a good job balancing both modes, though the weapon be derply.

Blackarachnia, I'm impressed and actually a little surprised she's as close to Season-1 accurate as she appears, aside from a spider-butt backpack, which wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was removable to become a 'shield'. Very curious to see size on her, as if they are trying to keep an internal BW scale (don't really expect a common BW-G1 scale), BA would barely be taller than Rattrap, though that could still work with the spider legs (and butt-backpack) padding out the volume for a Deluxe price point.

Warpath - I can't really say yet, but looks okay. Exactly what I think of it will always be judged against the still-excellent Generations toy, however.

(Still wondering if I will ever be able to pair a Blackarachnia toy together with a Silverbolt toy without them being horribly out of scale with each other.)

 

The person who posted the pics did so anonymously specifically because they were sick of people seeking a bit of Internet Fame by playing cute and passing them around in DMs.

Which is pretty funny, because you know that first person who got them from the source was like "Now don't shot these to anyone else because I don't want to get anyone in trouble...." and then clearly that person didn't listen.

The only person to blame is whoever the original recipient of the leaks were. They burned their source and their future credibility in one fell swoop.

 

Hasn't we had enough bangs already this year? Don't tempt fate with more.
