I ordered the 25TH Slave I display stand from wicked brick and it's okay. The problem with them is if you are outside the UK shipping is stupid expensive and they use DHL which means guaranteed customs charges. I think I paid like $80 or $90 for the stand with shipping in Canadian dollars. Then I was dinged with about $22 in customs making this thing over $100. It cost almost as much as the LEGO set WTF?
Was thinking of getting the I-TS Transport today, but held off on it. What does everyone think of it? Is it worth pulling the trigger? (I live an hour away from the real thing.)
I got it because I love Rise of the Resistance (last boarding group on opening day in Disneyland) It's a fun, quick, uncomplicated build and the ship is very swooshable
I passed, despite getting up at dawn and walking to be able to get into Rise of the Resistance, as I don't recognize most of the minifigs---apparently they walk around the park? Not that day. I spent HOURS wandering around in Galaxy's Edge, morning and afternoon, and never saw anyone but Chewie and a few Stormtroopers. The Mon Calamari is the only one I recall from the ride itself.
Really? Not even Kylo Ren? Every time I went I saw him flanked by 2 troopers at least once. Vi is usually seen near the X-Wing that's by the RotR ride. Apparently she is canon now. She appeared in the Phasma prequel book and I believe she was the main character in the Black Spire novel.
Yes Vi is in the Black Spire novel. I always saw her, Rey, Chewie, Kylo and the stormies walking around Batuu every time I went. Beck is in the actual Resistance Transport. Gonk is out at the little antenna tower in front of the RotR entrance, every once in a while Chewie comes to fix that antenna or the X-wing that's adjacent to it. The black R5 unit in the set it meant to the represent the one that drives you around the ride vehicle inside the star destroyer. All of this talk is making me miss Galaxy's Edge!
There better be a Bob the Henchman minifigure and Joker should at least have his ridiculously long pistol.
Would be cool to get a bloodied battle damaged Batman. Wouldn't mind a Joker with a hairpiece instead of the fedora.
Oh, it had my attention until it was a UCS model. That said the one from (last?) year was pretty dang good.
Regarding Batman, I hope Lego releases the Batmobile from the upcoming The Batman movie. Can't imagine it'd be too difficult to make since it's just... A car. And while we're on the topic, I'm still really wanting the Bat Tank from The Dark Knight Returns...
I wasn't aware pictures were leaked yet. Could you post them here? Edit: Nevermind, found them. Doesn't look as smooth as the Batmobile which is a shame:
