Sam, I’m gonna really encourage you to pick up Inferno. He’s better than Grapple. Even if you aren’t into the character specifically (which I’m not) or you’re not a fire engine buff (which I’m also not), you owe it to yourself to have him on the shelf. Great articulation and transformation and presence. My “deskbots” are MP44, 45, 47, 39, and 33 because he just fits riiiiight in.

Anywho, Starscream! Loving all the renders guys!

I loved that scene, such a shame they didn't animate the rest of the carbots getting killed.

Also wouldn't have minded seeing more transformers die, far to many survived, especially the newer ones. Would have loved to see the sweeps, cup, wheelie, arcee, spinger, hotrod/rodimus all die. But alas, they survived:(

Selling toys that died in the movie maybe wouldn't be as much of a succes, but how much of a succes were these uglies anyway?

Also yea, not a fan of ugly bots, basically all the minibots, the van bros, the camera etc. Good we got rid of a lot of them, but having them replaced by other uglies didn't make it any better.

Anyways, back on topic, I really hope when we get official product shots we get at least one where he's paired with Megatron.

Also, love the detachable null rays that can also be held! Not only was this seen in the first episode on Cybertron, but also I believe in Master Builders. It's the scene that's used in the s2 end credits reel here...

Sure it's dark grey, but looks like it was meant to be his left null ray since it's missing from that arm. I'll have to rewatch that ep...

So, we’ll obviously get the main trio, any likely the coneheads, but anyone have any thoughts beyond that? Personally wouldn’t be surprised to see the rainmakers given the amount of love they’ve gotten lately. Maaaaaaybe bitstream and hotlink because they showed up at lot in MTMTE?

I think if we just give you an episode number and time stamp, you could literally draw the scene from memory. Walking encyclopedia dude! :)

And The Golden Lagoon. Maybe we’ll get a gold color Null Ray.

I don't care for any Jets outside of the og trio and coneheads which at one per year would go through 2026! Couldn't believe that as I typed it! Not impossible we could get others, of course, even if it's nearly 2030 based on how long TT milked the 03/11 mold.

Man, I wish I could draw some TFs! Too busy for now! Any way you could replicate either this scene or the one from ep1 with your brilliant model?

Good call, my man! Guess I gotta rewatch that one, too...

Recreating cartoon scenes is gonna be such a blast with this figure!

I really thought the stabilizers would fold into the legs so I’m relieved to see that they don’t. There were ways to get the stabilizers into the lower legs using angle folding hinges but I’m glad Takara didn’t go that route as they could’ve been visually obtrusive and fragile.

Personally I think that the more expensive those figures become, the less likely is for Takara to make tons of obscure repaints, so I'm not sure we'll see anything past the coneheads.

His overall robot look is brilliant. For some reason the angle if his wings seem a bit low, but that's likely just the angles. His legs are completely awesome (with ankle tilts, hopefully). Has that MP44 look where his arms, legs and torso all flow together as a whole rather than sum of parts. Imagine if Megatron's back could have had this look!

Not since mid 90's, probably cuz of geoengineering.

But what does rain have to do with seeing aesthetically pleasantly stuff?

They did the whole crew dirty. I wouldn't be surprised if childhood trauma is the reason some of us collect! I think Starscream finally getting his was one of the moments we all saw coming, though.

    ...man I loved the 80s. They didn't give a f***!!!

Daaaamn, dude that's dark as F***!!!

If it helps, they're warriors not super models; they aren't meant to be "cute" (at least I don't think so). Just... damn. Things'll pick up, it's all good.

Yeah that whole scene is why I didnt remember their being a fishing scene when I had seen it on VHS the 1st time lol. I was kinds in a "wtf just happen!?" spaced out confused trance when I had seen it previously in the theater.

It did bother me not having meg, seekers, the good looking carbots, prime be mia though. No reason to get rid of the cool looking bots.

Am I the only 1 that likes pretty shit?

I think the problem is more that “pretty” is subjective. I for one think quite a lot of the figures you think of as ugly are rather cool looking. Springer and Hot Rod spring to mind (pun always intended).

What was worse was coming home from the theatre and looking at a bunch of dead toys. Starscream and his butterfly joints will sadly recreate that scene. I’m wondering how @songrobin will handle the LED aspect of Starscream. I’m really hoping Starscream comes with a blasted foot.

A lot (most?) of us are in our 40s...some of us don't want to be doing this forever (aka in our 50s and beyond.) Some of us want to 'complete' our collections before we hang 'em up. Some of us are damn close to accomplishing that...
