Hehe don't worry, it's easy to miss the peg. And I did wonder if Blackjack connected like that considering the otherwise unused holes. And I'll try those things out later :)

Wankers. As if getting the exclusives is fraught enough already. Hopefully I'll be fuckity fucking most of that off during Kingdom. Comiserations to any hunting for BW repaints.

Hi all, need some help please.

robot kingdom have asked me what value I want them to declare on my ER bluestreak (I asked them to simply declare low).

Any idea please what the threshold is for dodging a bullet from the man?

I think it's probably more a long term plan than a short term one. Sure, they could shift more now, but if they train us good little collectors to reflexively snap stuff up at a moments notice because "Shitbuttons, it's gonna sell out fast!" that mentality could then bleed over to future items of higher volume. Hasbro shift more units, retailers turn over stock faster. Fiendish.

Or am I giving Hasbro marketing too much credit?

Meanwhile Mattel are releasing about 10 MOTU figures and 2 vehicles all in one month.

I can't help wondering if batch sizes are way down and they just want a guaranteed return on each, simply moving on to the next product in the line. Mattel should definitely know better though, flooding their own market killed MOTU in the 80s.

It's something to remember when someone tells you how expensive plastic has supposedly gotten.

I'm not even sure Hasbro could organise a stocktake tbh, that company seems to be little departments not talking to each other never mind regionally or internationally.

Somewhat related to current chatter, is that it now for the Coneheads availability - that one time ordering window with Amazon? Or will they be offered down the line now to other stockists, you know, the usual go to agents?

If not then I better get a PO in on Ironhide/Prowl. FOMO rules! o_O

@robotmel That's likely it for the Coneheads, especially with the other pack due relatively soon and Kingdom before the end of the year I'd imagine. Amazon also maybe didn't order many after how long it took them to sell Skywarp (ironically) and still being stuck with the Bots. Plus the above potential limiting from the Hasbro Brain Cell Trust.

Ask them to mark it as $14 (dollars) as the cut off as mentioned above is £15 (pounds). On or over that and the cheeky custom bugger will have their way with you!
Twice from the same seller I was stung via China Post with custom charges. :(

You want them to disclose the contents as a ‘gift’ and below £39 and that isn’t just for the product but inclusive of shipping and the product combined.

From memory the cost of Bluestreak and shipping from Robotkingdom was circa $43. You might just sneak in below the threshold (£39) under paperwork saying ‘gift’. If it is declared as ‘other - non-gift’ you will exceed the £15 value. Refer to attached RM info for admin fee of £8 and import charge circa £2-3 at most.

It’s important that they put down ‘gift’ and below £39 and if they say ‘non-gift’ the value is less than £15 to swerve the RM fee and import charges.

My G1 Astrotrain arrived today, and he is definitely a darker colour than the KO I have.

Also will definitely be getting Rattrap, I have the Gen. Rhinox and a nicely scaled Takara Primal...will be good to see what else they release for BW...a general Black Arachnia rerelease would be good

Snapdragon in Watford Smyths! I jaunt down there - nothing on the shelves except for Apefaces and Grapples at that size, no boxes waiting to be opened to be seen, staff all a bit busy. Hmph.

Standing by the TFs, order for click and collect to the store. Mooch around for 15 mins, no pick-up e-mail, go home (have got a work meeting!).

Arrive home (10ish mins later)... e-mail sitting there saying item ready for collection. Agh!

Just opened red heat and stakeout to discover stakeout is going for the 3 wheeler look. Pinged id for a replacement but does anyone have contact info for Hasbro UK to complain? IMG_20200826_150143.jpg

If a product arrives with box damage, would you kick up a fuss? Recently received a figure from a popular retailer of TF exclusives and it came with box damage due to insufficient packing. When I emailed them they said that since most figures are meant to be opened, they dont put that much priority on protecting the packaging. This sounds pretty shitty to me, since if I pay for a brand new product then it would be reasonable to expect that the figure and packaging arrive in brand new condition. Wont name and shame the retailer but im a bit PO'd.

Anyone think of a decent G1 episode where Megatron screams "DECEPTICONS, ATTACK!"? Making an audio project to accompany my collection.
