Thanks for this. I was just surprised that the battle damage paint apps in particular were so much more resilient than the others. For example when I took the silver off Studio Series Prime's arms, i dipped it in alcohol for about 2 mins and it came right off. For Soundwave, I was shocked that the black came right off but the damage scuffs stayed intact. Guess it will be slow and steady wins the race...
Presumably this kit, Shockwave Lab SL-51 It's a very good kit, I'm glad I added it to my Soundwave. ~L~
Tim Heada gap fillers/hinged doors for arms, ReproLabels and the Soundblaster eye swap. Yup, now he's Soundwave
This guy is the only one of the Main 4 cons I've yet to pick up. But he's sold out on all online stores, and he's way too pricey on Ebay. Does anyone know if he'll be restocked on Hasbro Pulse, BBTS, etc?
Chosen prime has the two pack with starscream in stock. Not ideal but it's available. Transformers: Siege Voyager Wave 2 Set
I guess, but I've been wanting to try a stop-motion series with the WFC Trilogy bots, independent of the Netflix shows. Plus Cybertron display + Earth display maybe
So i just got him today off an ebay seller brand new for practically retail and im so happy i did! Gotta wait for the bbts preorder to get the cassettes but im willing to be patient because hes so dam fun to pose! Robot mode is excellent with a crazy good headsculpt and excellent surface details. And i hobestly dont mind the “battle damage” i think its pretty appropriate for where it is. I love that theres an official lamppost mode! And the new “boombox” mode that hasbro showed off in that stop motion vid is genius! Ill take pics soon but for now im just really impressed with him. Now i just gotta find Shockwave without all the extra bits.
Official Transformers War for Cybertron Stop Motion Video – “The Bot Dance Off” - Transformers News - TFW2005 In this video that was posted in the news a week ago or so? Someone else in the thread posted it as well. Its not like a conventional tapedeck mode or anything but it looks like a cybertronian interpretation of one. I love it!
Sorry for the double post but i had to share these shots as a new post. I just 3d printed Soundwave some parts i found on Thingiverse. Theyre basically the same as the Shockwave Lab set but with way less surface detail and obviously not painted yet. They allow his arms to slide back on a track for a proper tape deck mode and add fillers for the forearms. Took about an hour to print then another hour to assemble the hinges on the arm fillers. Overall the fit is pretty spot on and it doesnt interfere with any of the other modes. Indeed the shoulder additions add an extra 5mm port in the spaceship mode which he was lacking before. So far this is the best classics Soundwave i couldve asked for!
Finally got one of these, and has anyone else had weird QC issues with the panels on the back of the legs? Mine not only are warped, but seem to be the same piece, so one doesn't fit the way it should...
Which side is repeated? And is it the back-of-leg panels or the front-of-ship panels or both. I've got repeated front-of-ship panels that make it look asymmetrical in ship mode and if you've got doubles of that piece too, maybe we have opposite pieces and could trade?
