I personally was thinking Late 2021 to Early 2022 at the earliest, considering we at least had an almost finished looking render of Jazz. Mirage though i'd say would definitely be pushed to late 2022 at the earliest. He definitely has a long way to go.

I don’t have much reason to think that even FT knows their precise release schedule. Seems like they’re just making it up as they go along.

 

So, I know that this guy is likely to come in in about 2-3 years' time, but how often do you think will FT be giving us information and updates about the figure? Because I've preordered my premium edition MT Downbeat, and I'm scared with Maketoys's situation (and can someone give me a summary on their situation?) that it might never come, and that was a pretty penny wasted, and I'm NOT buying the toon version for $300. That's a fucking ripoff on Maketoy's part.

 

Sadly, I just don't think that strategy is feasible in this hobby and I would abandon that thinking. It will likely come out in 2022. I got Maketoys Downbeat the second it came out and loved it. I am getting Fans Toys Jazz because I know without a doubt it will come out and it will be great. I got Ocular Max Sphinx when it first came out and I absolutely love it and the heft and quality of build. I am getting Fans Toys Mirage because I know without a doubt it will come out and it will be great. If I had neither of those figures I wouldn't even bother with Maketoys and just wait for Fans Toys. Maketoys after the Coneheads and maybe the last two Headmasters is a dead stick to me.

 

I have Sphinx and Downbeat and I am very happy with them. I won't need Fans Toy's version of these characters. I would recommend getting Sphinx and Downbeat, if you can, because they will be far cheaper than Fans Toys' and are great products - at least, my copies are. But if you feel that the Fans Toys versions are worth it, they suit your sensibilities better or whatever, by all means get them when they eventually come out.

 

I am so happy Fans Toys is doing this figure. I can't believe Takara hasn't done MP Jazz yet. Since when did Takara begin shunning Jazz?

 

I believe since they never had the license to replicate the car mode, that’s why we haven’t got cliffjumper as well

 

I think they had a falling out after the treatment of Jazz’s character in the first live action movie. Jazz only works 3P now.

 

But Jazz was a Pontiac in the first movie, so I don't think they would have a falling out with Porsche about that. It's because of WW2 and Porsche's history in that war.

 

Like a lot of us here, i'm also pretty sure that Porsche has something to do with a wrench being thrown into the plans.

 

Who needs Fans Toys ”Mirage” or MMC Sphinx? ...-> Transform Element Phantom is coming.  

And it is even cheaper than Sphinx...not to mention Fans Toys ”Mirage”.  

 

I believe he meant Jazz had a falling out with HasTak and wasn't working with them anymore, nothing to do with car manufacturers.
