"Core" class was in my mind as auto-awful but seeing this as my 1st TF info this morning was BETTER THAN COFFEE (and if you're anything like me, you know how sacrilegious that is to say) but going through the pics, seeing his bot mode buck teeth and how good the rat mode looks.... And so it shall be, NOT "Till All Are One" BUT (@Verno say it with me) Til Kingdom Come!
Yeah, I was hoping for a bit more reinterpretation in bot mode. I was never into BW so if I didn't know, I would have thought this was the Generations version. It looks ok, but I suppose this $10 size class is not for me (I'd rather see Rattrap get the ER Cliffjumper treatment). But man, I really hope Primal doesn't end up looking too similar to the MP/show *drops expectations just to be safe*.
It's not super accurate, but honestly, I may be totally in on this line! Beast Wars was my real first Transformers line, so I pretty much go for anything from that series! I like this Rattrap, it looks really fun!
Damn, its all truly real. Not gonna lie I still had some doubts about Kingdom existing (I know, silly with the Wal Mart listing) but now we have a picture. Core Class seems also like a return to the Legends size class, which is good as this isn't a bad class.
Aesthetically, this looks decent, but significantly worse than T30 Rattrap. ...But T30 Rattrap is an incredibly annoying figure to transform, and this looks like it probably won't be. Not sure that's quite enough to get me to switch, but it ain't nothing.
Rattrap is my favorite Beast Era character and one of my favorite Transformers period. For $10, I might pick up a couple of these. I think he looks great! Side note, I'm really hoping we get to see Blackarachnia and Cheetor some time soon.
Not to mention the Nintendo leaks last month. Everything has been crazy on the internet this year (but then again, so has the entire world, too).
I think it might have been required with what they were doing... probably would have looked better with a more round rump, but that would have made the back pack even worse. I believe the robot mode knees (ball joint, not that mid-shin hinge obviously) are basically touching the arms underneath the rat belly.
First take - yeah my Thrilling 30 deluxe isn't going anywhere. Second take - but I'll still get this because Rattrap.
I was pretty skeptical about Kingdom given the last few Beast guys we've gotten from this team, but if this is a taste of things to come I will happily eat crow. That looks really good for a retail sub-deluxe figure. ...lol I just realized that Core is basically the return of Basic.
Except you can see here: The backpack all opens out. I dont' see how having the more rounded backend would make this any worse. And there are so many ways you can have the lower legs end up on the sides, it seems weird to build waist around the leg tranformation, rather than building the leg transformation around the waist. It just seems like an unfortunate decision to me.
Well, he looks basic but in a good way I think. His original toy was a fairly simple design with a simple transformation and this is similar. It looks like a more efficient toy than the T30 one and the kind of thing one can just fiddle with for fun and transform casually.
This looks both great and terrible at the same time. I think I'm fine with my Generations Ratrap from a few years ago.
Cool. Pretty darn good beast and bot mode. If he truly is $10 - amazing figure. If he's $20 - needs a little more paint/detailing and I'd be happy.
If Siege is anything to go by it will be as they'll be using the toy CAD files as character models. I'm actually coming round to this, I would prefer they looked less like the original toys and TV show... but if I had kids (which I don't) I'd be buying them all of these. They look like they're gonna be great little 'budget' updates of the original toys you can mess with and have no worries about damage or paint chipping whilst doing so. A fitting celebration of the 25th Anniversary but just not something I personally can get terribly exicted about.
Missed the T30 iteration, so I\'ll definatley pick this cute lil guy up. (If he asks, I didn\'t call him cute...)
