Plan to do review on Leadfoot?

I did plan to do one last night but I ended up having to leave him at work so I didn’t get a chance. For sure tonight though.

 

Along with a Leader Class Blackout, the only other thing I was wanting from the movie line was a full set of the Wreckers, modded-out and in one scale! Hoping to find one of these in the wild since the preorder was a bust.

 

Apparently the Target exclusives will be available at TRU. I've heard this for both Transformers and Star Wars

 

I just love how Leadfoot was designed to homage Rick Ross. I need to find him.

 

Leadfoot mini review.

Vehicle mode:
Looks great, missiles and window guns both fall off with a slight touch. Everything locks together nice and tight but it needs more paint badly. Underside is fairly clean due to the neat trick it pulls with the head and fake windows from the robot mode. Only feet and hands are really visible.



Transformation is pretty simple, but the resulting robot has some problems. Most obvious, the legs are almost entirely devoid of paint, and it does not look good. The missiles under the arm fall off with a slight touch, but the window guns are a lot more stable in their new spot. The arms are nice and tight however moving them does usually untab the shoulders instantly so you’re readjusting tabs a lot. Overall though he’s not super posable but he looks good and feels pretty solid in hand. The head sculpt deserves particular praise because it’s a great sculpt and (to my eyes) incredibly accurate.



Then onto Steeljaw, he’s a static piece and he looks terrifying

Jokea aside, visually he looks stunning, might need some nail polish for those missile pods and on a few tabs.
I'm glad he looks better than what the initial stock photos showed him to be

 

Thanks! You’re solidifying me on this! I feel like the reason why the movie toys have less articulation sometimes, is due to their often unique, and almost nonsensical designs. Leadfoot is a chunky chunky boi, so I was never gonna pose him like movie Jazz.

Just picked this guy up. Modded him to hang his front wheels under his belly. Partsforming but I think it looks good.

 

Those missile pods are the worst. I can’t get one to even stick at all

 

Yeah all the attached weapons in both modes were useless until I clear polished both the tabs and the slots.

 

So is this guy not exclusive after all? Because I just found three at Walmart. The one I snapped the photo of, then two on another peg.
