Hey all!

I did this in flash, as I have no scanner to post my hand-drawn peices, but they're aroung the same style. (I usually drawn in poses, where as this is just standing straight)

I can never get this dude's head right. Too rounded and a little too big  ... [EDIT: Fixed the head ]



He sure is shiney. Maybe I'll fix the shiney.

a few more black details on him would be nice, his head and hands do seem to stand out a little!

 

He was orginally in the same deco he is now, only with all the silver swapped out for black. But the whole red/black deco has been done practically to death, but he was too boring in just red and silver so I purposly made the hands and head stand out.

However, see those silver edges on his wing/kibble? In vehicle mode they run the length of the jet and I'm debating wether or not to make them black as well.

 

It would help with the design to add that black stripe on his wings. :3c Would help balance the colors a bit. Still a good design!  

 

Okay, I changed the wing edge to black, as suggested.

I was hesitant to change the colours, as this character of mine has been around for years (see my profile for a pic of his old design) he just needed an updated "sculpt".

It's not as bad as I thought.

EDIT: Added 'Con symbol. 

 

Nicely drawn. I prefer the newer one though, better mesh of colours.

 

I totally like the update with the black. I makes the colors flow better.

Ok, that's an awesome Screamer design. But headshape is reminisent to Prime. I do like the shoulders panels though, and the wings give me a samurai-esque feeling to it.

 

I'm glad someone saw the seeker homage. The whole basis for the design came from when I just had him as a Starscream repaint, but for the story I made it out that he was originally a jet TF like Skywarp, TC etc, but got sick of Starscream and rebulit his body to look as different as he could. I prefer the updated design as well. (with the black strip and D-con symbol.)


The Prime thing was unintentional, as I just wanted him to have a faceplate to distinguish him from the other jets and stop him from being just another "seeker retread".

Those wing shapes are awesome! I like the wing stripes black, that really pulls him together. It looked good silver, but the black stripes really.... pop.

 

i like it, it's like a cross between the movie guys, the animated guys, and the original guys.

i also like how he has a scourge like head, yet a starscream body. and i actually preferred the wings how they were though. the black just seems out of place.

and the claws on decepticons is something i like now, it makes them seem more sinister.

i like that black on the wings better. However now the top and the bottom arent balanced. IMHO, maybe try the kneeblades black?

Before I saw the vehicle mode, I thought the knee blade thngs were maybe tail fins so I thought, since the back wings, the strip goes along the wing, maybe the it should match up on the tail fins (knee blades)....and then i saw it had nothing to do with tails fins, but i just find it looks a lil more balanced this way.
