I think that's the smart play personally.
I wasn't attached enough to the show or the MP line to purchase any MPs since Starsaber.

Whereas now I'm all in for pretty much the entire BW cast in the Generations line, and am planning my first Studio Series purchases.

I'm really excited for Voyager Tigatron! I wanted them to make a larger mold for him, but I wasn't expecting them to actually do it.
I appreciate that, and that sort of commitment goes a long way in setting a toyline above the rest.

From what I've heard, they are really going all out with the Beast Wars line. These aren't generations cheetor kinds of figures. If they promote the hell out of these toys, give them a fair chance, then we will get to truly see what Beast Wars has in terms of selling power. If it was half-assed with shitty figures, then I think we'd all be of the opinin that it isn't a fair trial of Beast Wars selling power. I mean, I haven't seen them yet, but everything I've heard about them is that they are quality figures.

So this is it guys. Sounds like they took this shit seriously, gave it their all, and they are going to see if Beast Wars is a brand worth pushing. It is up to us to show them it's an investment worth making!

hahha, not really, mostly kids. Kids are by far their biggest market. But still, buy this shit!

Apart from exclusives (which will presumably only be available online here in Australia), I'm going to try to buy everything in-store. I haven't picked up a Beast Wars figure off a toy store shelf and walked to the checkout to buy it since 1999. I'm very much looking forward to being able to do that again.

    TM2 Blackarachnia for anyone interested.

My grandsons are six and eight. I have been giving them Botbots, but next year they're going to be getting some Beasts. If they are as much fun as the Weaponizers, I will get them some Fossilizers too. Especially if they keep the build-whatever-you-can imagine function of the previous lines.

I could die content with the s1 maximal crew. Really looking forward to seeing Dinobot and Optimus. Curios to see what they do with the alt mode and what weapons gimmicks are in tow. I've suspended all my purchases and I feel like I've been waiting a life time for new images.

Yeah I'm into that. I like that more, animal-realistic beast mode. This actually makes me more excited for this line now, as it really looks like it's going to manage to set itself apart from T30 and MP.

He's actually a pretty cute rat too.

They don’t look bad to me. Also my expectations are quite low considering he’s only $10

Looks legit, but not as 'cute' as box-art renders I saw.

Please for the love of god Don’t mess up Dinobot. I don’t care if he has awkward kibble in either modes, just don’t have it be in the same tier as The Universe 08 figure. Personally I think this Ratrap is better looking than t30, save for the rat legs.

Hmm...I was kind of worried when I heard people saying that Rattrap's robot feet became is rat feet. Guess my worries were justifiied, as those feet look pretty bad. They should've just kept him as a pure shellformer.

I love the look of the rest of the figure though. I guess it's kind of hypocritical for me to love realistic beast modes...because I've never been a big fan of realism with vehicle modes and have always favored a cartoonier or more fanciful design (hence why I embraced the new cast in TFTM so readily)...but I guess it's just because I like animals more than cars and jets in real life.

I feel like if the rat/robot feet weren't solid flesh tone, maybe a gradient from fleshy toes to grey heel, it'd look better.

I gotta say though, proportions were nailed. So refreshing after the bizarre gangliness of the T30 figure.
