I'm sorry. At least I know now. However, I've ordered from other E-tailers and haven't had the problem. It seems to always be BBTS.

The obscurity argument is absolute horse shit. Even in the mainline of the WFC trilogy, you’ve got characters like Doubledealer (Who has had a total of three figures since 1988), Apeface (Who has had a grand total of three toys since 1987), Six Gun (Who has had a grand total of two figures since 1986), Flywheels (Who has had a grand total of two figures plus being a titan master for the TR line since 1987).

The WFC trilogy has been chock full of obscure characters who have had one or two other figures since the late 80’s and have had very little exposure in the years since. The whole “They can’t do obscure characters from the films because nobody would know who they are or even buy their toys” argument was invalid the moment Six Gun, Flywheels, and Cog were released in the first wave of Siege.

It’s fun being called entitled by people who hold the belief that their childhoods are of the utmost importance because they happened to grow up with a cartoon that obviously had a limited production budget and is chock full of goofy animation errors.

Overall, I just wish that TF fandom could make peace between the various factions of the franchise and not feel the need to fire hot venom at the fans of the parts of TFs they don't like.

Like I'm a TF fan first and foremost since the 80s so I like G1 and the movieverse in equal measure. I don't think much of Car Robots Optimus but I'm not going to denigrate someone for liking him, let alone go out of my way to take shots at them.

A00C1C28-2F44-48B2-95B6-A2825ED460C4.jpeg I’m am never using amazon for transformers again, they obviously do not have any kind of accurate counts of stock before they put shit up for preorder. This is the second time they’ve done this to me within 2 weeks. Overlord was supposed to arrive today despite not shipping on Friday or through the weekend. So here I am wondering how it will get here today and a quick chat with amazon customer service reveals they don’t have any in stock! And instead of updating my order they just continue the facade! They did the same shit with the cone head 2 pack.... AAGGGHH

I feel you, I'm in the same boat. Hoping he shows up locally soon so I can cancel Amazon.

QFT. Honestly, even in Titans return I was like "Who in the fuck are some of these guys? Triggerhappy? Misfire? What?" I never heard of any of them before that. Whether that says more about my knowledge of G1 or about how Hasbro really overuses the core cast, I'm not sure.

Meanwhile we are over saturated with G1 figures, them people saying “G1 only deserves recognition!” And “we need more G1 figures!”

What the hell is all this about too obscure? How is it too obscure? You want the Studio Series to keep running you make all on-screen characters. I don't care how obscure they are, if you can make an easy repaint out of Jazz into RotF Smokescreen... maybe... but why aren't you planning to give us everything? Heck I'd even take dopey looking mini easily lost statues for the likes of Ejector and Scalpel if it means at least getting the characters in the SS scale.

You guys should've seen the argument I got into with AutobotBurnout in the Official Rant Thread the other week about this very issue.

I mean they made Thundercracker so

If only more people were like you. I am so sick and tired of gwunners saying that bayverse isn’t deserving of updated toys and figures, like in 2009 the figures were mostly meh but now most are awesome

Was quite surprised to see that car mode Dropkick is literally labelled as Dropkick2 in the Japanese market

I really don't understand the "too obscure" argument. As long as the toy on the shelf looks exciting and is an appealing product everything else is largely irrelevant.

When I was a youngster, in the G1 days, every toy was a totally new character (until Goldbug and Powermaster Optimus Prime came out.) I didn't turn my nose up at any toy I was lucky enough to be given, certainly not because I didn't already know who the character was.

If a young child today is in a store and is lucky enough to be offered to pick out a Transformers toy they want they are more likely to choose based on colour or vehicle than character recognition. I've never seen a child turn down Earthrise Cliffjumper because "I don't know who that is." They buy Cliffjumper because he's red or because he becomes a car (better yet, something they recognise as a real car, not a sci-fi buggy.)

If Generations Selects Sandstorm were on the shelf at Kmart I can guarantee you kids wouldn't pass on him because the character wasn't prominent in a cartoon thirty-five years ago, they would want to buy Sandstorm because he transforms into a cool fighter jet.

Don't try to palm us off with nonsense like "Dark of the Moon Hatchet is too obscure to be made into a toy."
If you don't want to make Hatchet, and leave us with an incomplete Dreads trio, just say so.

Meanwhile, the kid out there who likes Transformers and who has just seen Ghostbusters for the first time will have to go without a Terror Dog that converts into a Chevy Suburban.

    ~L~

I just came back today and a little last night. What happened?

Edit: Nevermind. It seems like the same old stuff. I just missed it the first time because I just look at the pretty pictures.

Guys, this thread is strictly for live action movie toys, it was made that way to keep SS86 discussion out. This isn’t the thread to cast judgement on fans of the SS86 line much the same as it isn’t a thread for a G1 purist to cast judgement on movie fans.

Mpm Starscream worth it? I have the rest but I always see other opinions before I buy any. I wanted to wait for a KO with the tattoos but idk how likely that is. It’s able to be shipped to store for me so figure I’ll ask now.
