They couldn't even paint this one? TT are getting so damned lazy! I'm just going to wait for KO with better grey...

Seriously though, my only nitpick is that I don't already have it.

It looks good but im not going through the seeker roster again at the prices theyre gonna ask for that thing. Especially when we are going through the same onslaught of seekers with Earthrise mold. Keep your stupid ab crunch and hiding tailfins Takara. Whats up with those extra wings on the back ? That thing better have a 3rd tetra jet mode for me to consider getting one. And even then, might as well just wait for the KO. People dont like to here those words, but when Takara is out of touch with most normal collectors due to the new price range, it is what it is.

Glad to see the monkey's paw people wished on for super screen accurate Transformers is affecting MP as much as it is Generations.

That depends on what you’re referring to as complex or simple.

In terms of representation of the given media, yes, UT movie figures are more complex looking because they portray the crazy super transformation magic in the movies. And BB V2 is a simple design given that it is representing a blocky and smooth drawing that didn’t have an immersive amount of detail.

But the methods that are taken obviously differ. I suppose it’s not just “what they were going for”, but also “how they chose to arrive there”. The Maketoys seekers against this design already have some different intentions instantly even if they are wanting a very similar design. And arguably there are things which are more successful. I’ve seen many people dislike the MT versions on initial reveal on the squashed aesthetic of the torso. Should MT have just done better or stuck with what they were planning and how it matched their vision of approach.

But you do bring up an interesting point that perhaps, if they really sat on it, they could get somewhere which does X things better. Which, considering that Takara might have tight schedules on design to release, there may be an issue there. Something to think about for sure.
As someone who also was paying close attention to this I think he will. It’s just that the chest will have to be raised or the ab crunch unlocked before usage.

In my opinion this looks good as a pre-prototype but the only issue I have is that of the null rays.I think they could change somethings to make it as show accurate as possible.I wonder what accessories Starscream would come with that makes it different from MP-11?

Yeah, not to mention how utterly FLAT this looks. Not an ounce of detail, no tech greebles other than on the wings? It saddens me some people prefer this .... de-evolution of a figure where the MP 11 perfectly managed to have an accurate F14 as well as a G1 accurate robot. I hated the first version with the bad feet and hipwings, but MP11 and its repaints made the mold perfect. I now own Takara MP11 Coronation Starscream, Ramjet, Dirge and Thrust, Hasbro Thundercracker, Acid Storm and Sunstorm, and a KO of Hasbro Asia Skywarp (could never find the original for respectable prices)
I have no intention of replacing my Seekers for this flat, cartoon style aping undetailed toy which also, if OP was any indication, will cost likely 300-350$. I remind you all, WFC Unicron was only twice as much...

But... why? Because Sunbow was lazy and did not always draw the vertical stabilizers and tailfins??? We who had the toy knew they were there, they did not magically appear out of thin air like Prime’s trailer or Megatron’s silencer. I swear, it is ridiculous that Takara bends over backwards to mis-represent toys the way they looked due to animation mistakes and budget cuts.

Ok, I am in. Starscream is the character that my wife loves and she said:"I will pay the half of the total price just to say that it's not only a your figure".

Obviously articulation is a pretty huge improvement but it's still not for me. More power to the people who wanted yet another MP Seeker mold.
