i still dont get this why include g1 characters in studio series if they are also in the normal generations line, this is stupid, and sad at the same time not even the complete season 1 cast of bw we are going to get , why not just put all the movie figures in the studio series line, is stupid to put main movie characters like galvatron, rodimus, ultra magnus in the generations line while you put characters like the dinobots there , seriously who was the idiot who decide to do this, now we have 3 g1 lines, Netflix, generations and studio series , seriously i am tire of this , how many more g1 repaints of megatron, starscream, prime, bumblebee we need, in addition to having them in normal size, now on the scouts, seriously , why you dont make an armada Optimus, an energon megatron, a cybertron starscream , an animated omega supreme, just for one year they could have make something different, i know they dont like beast wars, if you want the fans to stop asking for beast 9, wars just use one line to release all the characters they are not that many, season 1 14, 2 got 9, 3 was like 7 seriously is sad they could have finish beast was in one line and they could never again talk about them, i am still waiting for armada Optimus how many years he has been in an old closet taking dust, but no we need 40 new repaints of the seekers, bumblebee, prime and megatron

 

I like a lot of what we're seeing in this list, and I'm glad we appear to have decent confirmation, but wow, does this read like a wish list filling in some of the remaining gaps.

 

Just my layman speculation, but to me it seems like Kingdom is picking up the slack for SS86 & maybe netflix as well by having a place to put the figures that...
1 ) don't fit in the other lines (I don't recall Warpath being in the 86 movie so I don't see him under the Studio series banner.
2 ) can't fit within the budgetary constraints (While SS will have some G1 figures via "the movie" I think it's unreasonable to think that 86 are the only figures SS ill have.

 

Because until WfC they were neither scale nor screen accurate compared to Studio Series and there's a good chance after WfC they may move on from G1 or begin phasing it out further.

Are we going to have a version of this complaint everyday now because the time to get used to it was when the first SS86 leaks dropped.

Movie's only going to be for the transitionary phase, and then they'll start mixing in more from G1 in general and likely other continuities as time goes on.

Think of it like RED but they'll also transform.

I'm just gonna say till we get pictures and stuff I'm going to assume they couldn't get the copyright for "Terrorsaur" and went with "Wingfinger" (which is pterodactyl in english). Like its really suspicious to me that we apparently do have a "pterodactyl character", but its not Terrorsaur (who along with Scorponok really needed an updated toy).

I'm probably wrong and I'll accept that, but I really, really want a Deluxe Terrorsaur.

 

There's G1 in Studio Series because as it is Studio Series has begun to run out of gas, there's not a lot of Bayverse left undone and we're a good ways away from a Transformers 7/Bumblebee 2, so the 86 movie makes a good filler until then and allows room at retail for both the original movie and Beast Wars to get some attention for their respective anniversaries.

Also no matter how many G1 figures there are, I don't think there was any scenario where Beast Wars was going to get the entire cast completed in a single line. Hasbro wants you to keep coming back for more, so you get (quite) a few now and you get some more later.

 

Apollux (reliable leaker who leaked Kingdom in the first place) said there is no Terrorsaur in the retail mainline; Wingfinger is a Fossilizer. Doesn't mean Terrorsaur couldn't still be some kind of exclusive, but he's not a retail figure in Kingdom.

 

Let me tell you a little anecdotal story I witnessed firsthand. I was at Target last week and heard a mother talking to her son who was going to spend his own money on a new Transformer. She said he’d saved up for quite some time to accumulate $20 and buying the toy would exhaust his savings. The boy reaches over and grabs a Bumblebee toy, and I hear her say, “Another Bumblebee? You have like 5 at home. Wouldn’t you like...” she looked around at the Transformers on the shelf, “...Shockwave instead? You don’t have him.”
The boy refused and clutched the 6th Bumblebee to his chest. 6TH BUMBLEBEE...one that he spent his own money on. This is why Hasbro makes so many freaking Primes, Megatrons, and of course, Bumblebees.

Ironically it was Transformers that helped toy manufacturers realize this attachment to characters by killing off Prime.

 

They are doing a partial beast wars line for its 25th anniversary so that would put Armada line in what 2027? That too long of a wait? Maybe they'll be nice and do something for the 20th, that would only be less than 2 year wait.

I've seen the same, I once was checking a store and a man was buying gifts for his two kids, and he took two bumblebees as well instead of different characters for each, the kids wanted BB specifically.

 

One pipe dream of mine for this line is feathered Dinobots plural. The original team but with actually realistic dino modes vs the what we thought dinosaurs looked like in the mid-nineties which is Megatron and Dinobot singular will be.

 

Man, I hope this list is true. I've been wishing for Slammer to be made so all the City Titans can have their buddies .
