I ordered one of TaoBao last night as well. It came to around $130 not including shipping to the USA. I'll find that out in a few days, but I don't think it will cost more than $30.

 

Preorder price seems to be around 110, unfortunately, I did not get a preorder this time.

 

$130 (900 yuan) sounds like the pre-order price.

Otherwise it is $230 (1600 yuan).

 

Preorder is 820 Yuan more or less. Street price of this reissue should be something like 1000. 1600 is either for the first edition, or some very high prices (I've seen two stores with this price for the reissue, but they will probably change when they receive the goods).

 

Anyway, I've just asked more than 10 sellers, and almost everyone has not received the product yet.

 

TFS-Express posted on Facebook a couple of days ago saying it released this weekend. Whether that means the product shipping to retailers on Saturday or from retailers on Saturday is unclear. From the sounds of it, based on your post, it's the former, so expect retailers to receive products next week. Assuming nothing changed after TFS-Express posted on FB...

Dropping my preorder at BBTS right after this post for those looking for a preorder in the US.

 

Well, if you do, you should probably do it quick as it will probably evaporate. Unfortunate, the preorder windows for this closed last year, and it seems that this reissue is a lower batch.

The price is the same as the new price of FT-44 Thomas, with the adjustments from this year. The preorder price for the original Sovereign was 620-650 Yuan, but I could not trace the price fot the first release of 16M (it was probably the same as the original).

Since I am getting mine from BBTS, it's probably going to be December 2020.

 

Patience is a virtue and BBTS will put it to the test quite often.

 

I got the original Soverign reissue for around 600 yuan and that wasn't preorder. Maybe 2.5 to 3 years ago?

Thor toys said their preorder total for reissue 16M (incl deposit) was 900. I managed to pick one up from them for 1140. The next day they upped their price to 1500. I think 1500 is the 'market' rate.

Last week, 16M was 1900 / 2000 so that's the inflated first issue stock I'd say as many sellers I chatted with just got their shipment updates on Friday.

I remeber looking at 16M after it was first released on Taobao and 900 ish was the regular price. So the preorder reissue is the same price as regular retail first issue.

 

Thanks a lot for the info, this clarifies some of my missing data. I though the 600 was a preorder for the original because I saw two tables with this price, but you are right, it was probably the street price.

Related to the reissue, it makes sense that the reissue is the same as the regular street price of the first issue as prices have increased this year. This means that the preorders for the first issue were probably around 700 (200 is usually the difference between preorders and street prices in this category). It also means that the original preorder was probably something between 400 and 500.

If the store total for the preorder is 900 (which is a little more than ones I saw reported as 820), street price for this should be something like 1100, not 1500. Let's hope at least some sellers can have spot prices for 1000-1100 (but I don't think there will be many).
