I have a mostly positive opinion of the trailer. The Good: -Gal Gadot and Chris Pine still have terrific chemistry -Wonder Woman’s personal story looks interesting -The action scenes look really cool The Bad: -I’m not feeling these villains yet. Cheetah and Maxwell Lord are a bit underwhelming from what was shown so far, but I can probably look past that if Wonder Woman’s journey is done well similar to the first movie and a sizable percentage of MCU movies. -Some of the CGI was a bit iffy
Terribly vanilla trailer compared to that kick ass first one. And now that we've gotten to see some actual footage of it, I don't think this Cheetah thing is going to go over as well as they hope. Steve vs the 80's will be fun(ny) enough, though.
The bits I've seen remind me of Batman Returns Selina Kyle kind of. Which I guess, going back to comics, is also pretty close to Priscilla Rich, the first Cheetah.
No every bad cat-person will, I'm sure there will be a decent one eventually ......This one doesn't look like it though. As fan artists have shown it can look better
Let's GO I'm ready for this film. I hope the WW films end with 84 as 84 looks like the perfect place to stop.
Yeah, between the completely shit job they've down with her mouth to a still of Wonder Woman that has less a "This is a tragic end to what should have been friendship” vibe going on its more like she's asking Cheetah to stop pulling stupid faces for the camera, its a huge improvement. I don't know where Chris Pine has been hiding this charming and likeable version of himself, but I really hope he stops hiding it. He is fantastic in Wonder Woman and I see him being fantastic with WW84. I cannot get over just how good the screen chemistry between him and Gadot is, its honestly incredible. Action looks fine, I'm even pretty impressed with Cheetah's design -especially in light of the utter fiasco that was Cats - and the way she moves. Some of her pre-transformation movements like that Raiden-like flying tackle - good going @SHINOBI03 - look a touch underdone but given how utterly unnatural the movement AND the position are for a human, I figure that's never gonna look graceful with actual people. More stuff on Themyscira, always good clean fun for any Wonder Woman fan and it means I might get to see Robin Wright and Connie Neilson again so yay there. All in all, looks good and I'll lie, cheat, steal and back alley murder my way to a seat in an actual theatre when it comes out.
Themyscira (From Wonder Woman 1984: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) by Hans Zimmer Sound familiar?
It's the original Wonder Woman theme from BvS (and the first movie) but a much more triumphant reimagining.
