I know this may be controversial. But if you could afford JUST ONE of these (01Studio Cell or HasLab Unicron), which one would you prefer?

Studio Cel at the size of the Haslabs one

Has lab the right size(Could still be bigger), but Studio Cel has the better design.

Neither actually. As much as I want unicron the cell was too small and haslab too kibbly. I bought both, sold the studio and will sell haslab when I have it. Impulse buys and I regret both. I'm 47 and I doubt I'll live long enough to get a version I'm satisfied with

If I was interested in one, it would be Studio Cell. Cheaper and doesn't look like he's going on a camping trip.

A big neither here as well.

Unicron, to me personally, makes no sense to have in any collection. Maaaaaaybe if I wanted to display him as a one off, separate from my other stuff ... but nah. Still a huge big ol’ nope here.

We will never, ever ever ever (as it’s impossible) have a properly scaled Unicron figure. And I, again personally; have no desire to spend big bucks on something that looks extremely goofy in any collection that I own.

I'm setting aside funds to get teh Cell, and have less than zero interest in the HasLab one

I just prefer the engineering, aesthetics and the like on the Cell by a large margin ^_^

I'd get both if I had the money when the Haslab crowdfunding was going on. But if you can only get one it's Cell.

In an ideal word, both. But I went for HasLab just to enjoy the experience.

Cell, for me. If I'm going to spend an hour transforming it, it'll be because of the complexity. HasLab's takes an hour because you can't manhandle it the proper way and it weighs a friggin' ton.

I'm for sure in for the haslab but that's mostly due to planet mode (which I feel like I'm probably gonna display him in)

Ultimately depends on which mode you place more importance on, imo. (Tempted to get the cell for bot mode. We'll see tho)

If I got a Unicron, it'd go with my legends collection, but he'd need to be larger than the city bots already in it.

Hasbro’s unicron has a metric ton of planet kibble hanging off its back and folded in to its legs. I’m not gonna sugar coat it, I think it looks like shit.

I own studio cell unicron and it has a very impressive and extremely clean robot mode, something the hasbro one does not have. The planet mode is not amazing, the hasbro one only does that better, but at the cost of looking like shit from behind or the side.

I’ve wanted to say that for a while, but didn’t want to be a dick in either thread.

I have Cell, He's pretty good, looks good all around, meh planet mode. I also will be getting Haslab, which I think from a frontal view looks 100% better, but looks kibbly from the side and back (good thing shelves usually hide that), and has a far better looking planet.

Both are fantastic in their own right, and both are terrible in their own right. If Cell stayed at $200 instead of doubling in msrp before release, it'd be less of a hard decision, but at $400 my standing right now is I feel haslab will be the better value even if it costs $160 more.
