After rumours for the longest time finally a picture. And it is the design I hoped it would be.

Looking at it, I must admit that to me it does suffer from the articulation breaking the sculpt (and as a result be less appealing). Really hate the look of the top view because they wanted the arms to pull off a pose like this.

Also, I'm so incredibly tired of the standard Optimus Prime deco that I basically refuse to buy OP figures in the traditional deco, no matter how much I love the design or the figure. Fortunately, MMC has a tendency to repaint figures.

 

I'm really hoping that his shoulders are just swung so far forward on butterfly joints that the wheels look less integrated into his torso. Can't wait to see some more pics, because if I'm wrong, and they are just hanging off of his back, I'm gonna be pretty bummed out.

 

Look at those shoulder armatures. I hope they are sturdy, as they could give way for some fantastic posing.

 

It's MMC. Expecting it to be 100% accurate when their previous IDW offerings also had design deviations is going to lead to disappointment. The only thing to speculate now is what this will get retooled into (Aside from the obvious Nemesis/Magnus repaints).

 

Oh man, I've been sitting on this one for a while. This thing is insane. Griffith took point on this one and he went all out, might just be one of the best figures we've put out so far. Maybe even THE best?

 

Well if I wasn't already excited for this, now I'm friggin HYPE.

I haven’t been so hyped but one single picture of a toy in ages. This one pic has everything you’d want to know about this release. So cool looking. Also, WTF ITS JUST HERE NOW I GUESS??!?!?!?!?

 

I’m in for this, regardless of the scale (I’d prefer MP-scale, since I don’t buy from the Reformatted line, only OX). If this is Reformatted (probably is), do those have diecast as well?

This fella looks so incredible!

 

Head and shoulder tires look a bit off, but other than that looks fantastic. I’ll keep an eye out for this one.
