Oof. Already two confirmed figures with issues. Now I'm paranoid about the one I've got coming next week.

The second one for the friend was available if there was no issues. I opened one; found the issue. Opened the other one to check for the same issue. No issues. Asked friend if he wanted the one with the issue. He does not. I will sell him the one I preordered. No harm no foul.

One with issue. The other is 100% perfect.

The paint issue for this figure isn’t the lack of it, it’s actually excessive for the camo pattern. It’s the fact that the wrong colors were used for most of the jet mode. There should’ve been 2 tones of grey aside from the contour trim, which should’ve been a reflective silver or metallic paint(not chrome). Instead we have 3 tones, small areas with 2 tones of cool grey(light and dark) then a warm grey tone for most of the jet mode. What Hasbro should’ve done to more approximate the look was get rid of the warm grey and just used the 2 cool grey tones, in addition to reflective contour trim.

It’s an issue beat to death in previous threads about it, just wanted to point out the lack of paint actually wasn’t the issue. It actually should’ve been less paint on the top of the jet mode in some areas and the paint that should’ve been used for most of the jet, was only used in the smallest areas.

Sorry. Everyone is getting critical about things around here lately. Hard to tell humor from bashing lately.

So is there an apples to apples comparison out there of this one versus the ROTF/DOTM Leader figure? (that Hastak has been selling as a "masterpiece" for almost 10 years now).

There is as I have watched it but don't ask me where I came across it. Don't think it was youtube.

This review has a comparison towards the end but it is not in depth; just a side-by-side.

Wait, this figure is...$150? ...Then why the bloody hell does TFsource have him for $240? That's an excessive markup to me. Then again, they've been marking up almost everything very excessively lately, so guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

It’s a Target exclusive, not sure where TFsource is getting their copies from.

Well, so far with the exception of ratchet, Target exclusives are proving to be a headache inducing mess. (Of course I say that assuming target will actually fill my ratchet preorder and it won’t be a big thing).

I’ve been watching the gi joe classified Target exclusives
Was just about to post this. Just ordered one!

In Asia, this figure isn’t a Target exclusive. Amazon.co.jp and other non-target sellers are getting theirs from Hasbro Asia. I ordered mine from amazon.jp for $120 shipped, no taxes. Won’t get it til Nov, but that’s fine with me. I don’t know if tfsource and tcp are getting their stock from Hasbro Asia too, or scalping target shelves and marking up with their profit margins. I know that tcp was selling Walmart Soundwave for $100 when it was $50.

Can’t fault them for making money. They aren’t a charity.

The only place you will find any luck finding Jazz is online stores. If you find him on a big box retail shelf anywhere it will be like finding the holy grail. If you find one on the shelf of private retail get ready for sticker shock.

    Edit:

This is about the best you will find him for right now:

This. Saw mpm09 at a local comicbook/collectibles shop and they were asking $130 for it. It’s regular retail price is too high imho... this borders on gouging. But again, they aren’t running a charity, so if someone buys it for $130, that’s on them.
