The laser blasts rarely ever knocked anyone unconscious even. They seemed to have selective homing lasers that will seek out and only hit the guns of enemy combatants, knocking the guns out of their hands (which could also only hit their guns but seemed to lack the special homing part since the snakes usually missed every time).:p

Only 1 of the 19 Targets within 25 miles has showed Baroness stock so far this week. Be great if they all hit tomorrow while I’m off work.

Will boil and pop or hair dryer work on G.I. Joe Classified figures? My Duke came with his feet reversed.

Had some family business to attend to on the other side of the county so I was trapped indoors for a monsoon. Found it odd there was still 3 baroness at my local store, temptation drew me to check it out. Popfindr said, 3 and when I asked the folks and they checked the DCPI they said there was nothing. Popfindr still shows 3 and we don't have those touch screens in the store. The Target website of course reads zero. I have a feeling that my mean and cool stocking lady going to be busy with those around noon tomorrow. Anyone have a Pulse Snake eyes to trade?

It's never happened with ML to my knowledge. SW....arguably...they don't have the .5 designation but some figures do tend to drift across multiple assortments so the line between waves blurs.

It has sometimes happened with Joes but sometimes the timing was bad. IIRC I think 25th wave 4 had some repacks from previous waves. With 30th anniversary/Renegades, some of the figures from wave 3 were repacked into wave 4 except for Storm Shadow which made that figure even harder to find.

Eventually we’ll probably get some older figures in newer waves. Wave 2 was an opportunity for even packing but Hasbro threw it off by making Red Ninja x 1, Gung Ho x 2, Cobra Commander x 3. Ideally it should’ve been 2 of each.

Makes me think that the delay on the SE Movie disrupted their original distribution plans somewhat.

Amazon just bumped my Storm Shadow from an October 5 delivery to this Tuesday.

That I don’t know. Classified and the Walmart Retro line didn’t get held back until next year, same with the Cobra Island assortment and the casepacks are typical Hasbro marketing logic.

If anything, Joes are selling with no movie in sight. Just reinforces the fact that a movie wasn’t needed to push sales. Hell the tie-in game isn’t even out yet but can anyone readily find a Classified Joe on shelves right now? Not all of us can. I hope even casepacks go forward because even 10 years ago we still had uneven casepacks.

If the SDCC stuff is anything like last year it won't be preorders, it'll be in stock orders

Went through some of my old Joes to see what to part with. Noticed things I hadn’t noticed before.
    • Helmet for 1997 Ace is made from hard plastic with flex whereas the 1993 Ace has a PVC helmet
    • A dense PVC was used for the forearms on ARAH reissues possibly starting in 1999-2000. This continued with the mid-2000’s comic packs but some of those tended to crack at the thumbs and at that time, the lower legs were also switched to a dense PVC(which was also prone to cracking if you placed them on their stands).
    • The 25th figures haven’t aged well IMO compared to their POC and especially later 30th/50th anniversary counterparts. There are a few that I still like(like battle damaged comic pack Snake Eyes) but in retrospect a good time to start catching up would’ve been at the start of POC or the 30th anniversary line. The 25th line had a lot of growing pains by comparison.
Here’s some of the 25th Joes I still like:
    • Para viper
    • Alley Viper
    • Battle armor Cobraux Commander
    • Iron Grenadier Destro
    • Battle damaged Snake Eyes
    • Orange/blue Sunbow comic back Snake Eyes
    • Comic pack Firefly(the one that came with Storm Shadow)
    • 2009 5 pack Lady Jaye
    • Quick Kick
    • Bazooka
    • Lift Ticket
    • Snake Eyes V3
    • Arctic Snake Eyes
    • 2009 5 pack Shipwreck
    • Wild Weasel
    • Ace(if you use the helmet from 2004 Spy Troops/Valor VS Venom Ace)
    • BAT
    • Tomax/Xamot
    • Snow Job
For most of the rest you’re better off cherry picking from the POC/30th/50th lines was well as some of the Ultimate figures from the later Retaliation waves.

I tip my hat and raise a glass to the long suffering Joe fans! It’s like when the Cubs first won the World Series. You couldn’t help but feel happy for the diehards. Too long in coming for you guys and gals, but glad it is finally here.

I do think the jump to 6in was needed and is why this resurgence is working, though. I don’t know that the Walmart Retro figures alone would have garnered this much attention.
