    Question.

I have just received sarge, and during the first time transforming it, the joint of the left leg to the knee was broken (I think it was broken from the box, because I didn't notice any snap movement or sound while rotating the lower leg of the car).

What should I do now? I bought the figure from bababobo00712 on ebay, should I contact him or directly to generation toy?

Any previous experience receiving support of broken parts from generations toy or baba?

Contact generation toy directly, they will send you replacement parts shortly.

I see, thanks. The way to contact them is a direct email to [email protected]?

It is the info that I see in the box of sarge.

Good luck with that I have a figure with a broke part and I reached out to them months ago and they told me to go through my retailer and I did and they sent a message to them and I've still not heard a word back. I've reached out to the retailer to find out the end game and they haven't heard back from Generation Toys... If you get any positive feed back, please let me know because I'd really like to try to get my part for my figure replaced too.

I would contact baba. He’s been great in the past for sourcing the necessary replacements, all he needs is a picture and description.

I sent a message to both, the mail of generation toy and baba, with the same explanation and captures of before. I already received reply from baba:

    "Hello, friend.
I'm sorry. There is something wrong with the toy you received. We will apply to the manufacturer for replacement parts. Sorry for the inconvenience."

So looking forward to hear more from him and get the figure fixed. I was very excited to get this one, as I have started to like generation toy figures lately (after getting sideswipe redbull, which is an amazing figure, solid and very good, including the transformation and the alt mode).

I don't like defensor, as for now, the only combiner that I am getting is dx9 menasor, but sarge can be a standalone figure by it self, so looking forward to get it at one piece again.

The plastic quality on sarge looks lower than redbul though, so I will put extra caution in future interactions with it and apply some lube for figures on the hardest joints. I have been applying it to previous figures and it has been very good to get smooth movements and avoid the need to worry while transforming or posing figures.

Thanks people for the replies :)

    Regards.

Sorry to hear that man. I really hope that baba gets the parts for the figure, because in other case, I would probably try to return the figure to baba, because it seems that it arrived already broken and seems a very difficult part to fix with glue, as that joint has to stand the stress of the knee rotation and the plastic of this part is thin.

    Regards.

I just tried emailed GT again because as I had mentioned the retailer said there was no response from them so... something's gotta give. I'd really like to get my figure taken care of too...

It does almost seem pointless now. I doubt they'll even finish the team.... who knows, here's hoping!

Seems like a clean break. You could try some really good modeling glue? Tamiya cement tends to be pretty good because it technically melts the plastic and melds the pieces back together. I'm pretty sure the plastic on these things are ABS so you'll need the Tamiya ABS specific cement (blue cap).

Haha, the way 2020 is going, I'm not going to be holding my breath for colored test shots. I just go back and look at the gray prototype images of combined mode and that'll just have to do for me until another Defensor pops up. Haha.

I just think it's dead until they tell us otherwise. I know they have a prototype, but it's been a while since the last team member was out. So not getting Hope's up either.

Well, they showed prototype shots of RedBull a long time ago and he just barely came out. Plus they've been releasing color variants of previous figures so they're not entirely closed. It's hard to say what's going on with them anymore

GT drops figures whenever they want, their latest being red bull and that ultra magnus repaint of their primal so here's hoping we'll see Hotspot by the end of the year or early 2021.

makes sense they would push out the repaint, can't imagine how much all of these companies have lost with everything shut down.

Maybe they're working on giftsets at the same time for a dual release?

Don't think boxset will come out so soon. TFM Havoc boxset is coming out 3 years after they released the last of the individual bots, and even then it's the chrome version, and not the original.

Was there ever a box set of the original Gravity Builder?

I only know of the Chrome set, which was released this year, 4 years after the original.

The metallic black version was 2 years after the original, I think.

I'm not certain. I'm still pretty new compared to a lot peeps around here. I do recall gravity builder being what really put me on the path of collecting. That being said, I remember seeing multiple places selling all as a set.

    You are probably right though.

I think a few places had it so you got the Megatron kit if you preordered a set of the figures, but it wasn't an actual box set. They did do yellow, black, translucent, chrome, and chrome with a mouse pad as box sets. Their Scrapper also got a "white" translucent release.

The Havoc blinged out box set is an "easy" win in my opinion. The tools exist and they can generate cash to pay for the tooling, or to further other projects. My guess on Defensor is that there's an engineering issue that they've had to address. So back to the drawing board. Just a guess. I still like talking about it because it makes me feel this is not dead in the water. Haha.

Again, that gray prototype still lookin' sweeet.
