If TE is taking requests for the 2.0 version, any chance you could replace the current blocky "GITANES" font tampo with the more classic rounded font?

    Pretty please?

Received my copy today from showz - hips did not need fixing, overall a really nice piece and very happy so far! Colors really pop on this guy.

Mine arrived today from TFS Express. Love this guy! Hips were fine. Slight paint scratch on the left thigh, and sprue mark on the hip skirt but 9h well. Wanted to change the head but oh my god it's tight to remove on the ball joint. Just gonna leave it, unless anyone has any suggestions.

Can't believe BSF prefers the look of Sphinx over this. To each their own. To be honest, I get most FT releases these days, but this makes it hard to see how I'm gonna swap this out.

Received mine today. I love how it looks but I gotta say it's definitely a step down from TE-01 IMO:

    - Tolerances are too tight for my tastes, I hated transformation
    - Lots of surface scratches/paint transfers/paintchips on the hood, thighs, Gitanes 26 panels, spoiler
    - One loose waist flap
    - No locking position for the chest, collar, shoulder panels
    - The front part of one of the hip joints is off white

Again, I love the look and the hip fix didn't bother me but I can't ignore what I listed. I guess I'll give FT's and/or TT's a try.

I found there were a couple of bits during transformation I didn't like, mostly getting back to robot. Pushing the head and collar through the chest and tucking the wheels back in was dicey, struggled with clearance. Not one I'd flip back and forth. Also the knees loosened up a lot after transformation. Still holds a pose well, but much looser than before.

That's just cause BSF is an old school collector, who likes things they way they were. Things changed and now he's displeased.

I like my bots to look like the toon and have great face sculpts. So TE blows MMC out of the water for me.

They really knocked it out of the park with this figure. I'd say out of all of the different third-party companies that make Masterpiece figures, transform element feels the most like Takara figures with their Optimus and Mirage. Yes, this is with accessories from Sphinx who is going on the the chopping block soon.

I think MMC did a better job with the livery...even on the cel release. And if you prefer more realistic alt modes, Sphinx probably wins that race. But when it comes to bot mode, I don't know how you could not choose this guy...

I think maybe Sphynx' alt mode looks more like the real car. And maybe some people, like BSF, want that. But that doesn't mean much to me cause I want a representation of the Mirage I knew and loved from the cartoon.

I have no connection to real world alt modes, and I think some F1 car models probably do a better job at that than MMC.

I try not to bring this argument up everytime, but I feel I have to make my voice heard against every complaint about what people call slavish cartoon representations. Because I want the bots to look like the cartoon, and I don't want the designers to think that should change.

I'm in this camp as well. It was the toon that brought the characters to life. I'm not a fan of toy accuracy in MP either. Personally if I was bothered with that I'd just collect G1 toys instead. All toon, all the time. Doesn't have to be bang on for me, but just has to hit the nostalgia feels, where I can totally recognise them from the toon. Like for me, Siege Omega works, even though he's not totally toon accurate, and I don't feel the need for Gabriel/Terminus. He represents the character I remember and is fun to mess around with. I don't have the space for MP titans. So sorry FT, that's a no to Fort Max.

I agree, though admittedly, I sometime forget just how derpy some accurate toon alt modes are...like Hunk. I kind of marked him down a notch because of how shitty his alt mode looks...till I realized his shitty looking alt mode is near spot on. I knew it wasn't accurate to anything real, but I didn't remember it looking like THAT. All the same, I still prefer it look derpy and correct than bad ass, but made up...keeping in mind sloppily drawn and/or animation errors does not equal accurate. Basically, accurate = the character models.

Tragically I cracked the inner wheel hinge trying to transform his shoulder launcher into vehicle mode. It's still pretty tight on that hinge and it was my own fault, but I don't think I'll be transforming him for a while

I agree. Though I don't mind some tiny update to the character models as with FT Sheridan and FT Goose for instance.

Can someone direct me to some before and after fix photos? I’ve heard that not all of these need a fix, and I am having no luck finding pictures here to help me figure it out.

It's funny how mirage gets the parachute accessory, but in my mind I associate the parachutes with Sideswipe and sunstreaker after they got knocked off the Seekers.

Well, Mirage did actually use the parachute before Sunstreaker and Sideswipe did.
