The question I have is way do they remake movies that don't need it, like is it a right issue or is it just done to get people talk about the originals again?

Idk, I'd think movies being remade that 'don't' need to be remade, would have more name value, than some movies nobody likes. It's all about profit, after all. In that regard, I understand.

But, with that said, they are quickly running out of famous movies people like/know to remake. They're running out of things to adapt that people like, they're running out of things to reboot. After all that runs out, they'll have nothing within 10 years to remake, other than remakes of films, they've already remade.

Ah man come on Hollywood,......Please NOT another remake. The first movie, the only movie with John Candy/Steve Martin was just perfect in my opinion. To do a remake of the orginal movie is just a smear in the face of the orginal movie in my opinion. There's nothing wrong with that movie and it should be left alone considering that Mr Candy isn't with us anymore.

Get use to it. More and more remakes will be coming and with a diversified cast. Because that's what it's all about these days, diversity.

Diversity is fine, but there are some movies that don't need remakes...at least not this soon and when one of it's stars is still living.

Just remaking a movie and changing a cast's race or gender just to do it, A) doesn't mean it will be any good, and B) will cause even more back lash if it isn't good.

They seem to think these days that race or gender change is a get out of jail free card if the movie under performs, and I feel bad for the stars that were hired for this. A) Your always going to be compared to the original and if it's not better your screwed. B) Next comes the calls of sellout and tokenism.

If your gonna remake a movie reamake a bad one.
Look at what happened when they remade B movies like The Thing from another world and the Fly in the 80's.

Take that approach. Remake bad B movies and try to make them serious.

I can already think of a few

Take Food fight's audio and reanimate it.

No one would give a crap if you remade these movies and if you did a good job it would only enhance your credibility

I like Kevin Hart. I like Will Smith. I've got no problem with any aspect of this move save one; the title. I'm sure it won't be a scene for scene lift off the original, so why not make a movie in the spirit of Planes, Trains & Automobiles, but give it its own name? The moment you cast it as a remake, you've immediately set yourself up for failure, IMHO. And as others have said, nobody can top John Candy. He was, as an actor and as a person, an unparalleled treasure.

I would love a Them! remake a little campy, period piece, a little burtonesque, that would be magic.
