Pretty good for 20$ tho I think that more cuz shark doesn’t need a ton of articulation, like for instance a gorilla
Alright, I’ve been posing my Spawn and McFarkham figures more this past week. While I can appreciate and understand Todd’s attempt to preserve sculpt, I find some choices still puzzling. You won’t see it on Spawn and Joker as much but it’s much more glaring on Batman, the wrist and ankle joints are much more obvious. Thing is, given the decision to include those joints anyways(which definitely break the sculpt on Batman), they might as well have implemented thigh swivels and double jointed elbows. Joker is very expressive due to the range of motion for the upper body and unhindered range(aside from the chest fillers). Calling those pectoral pieces chest fillers because they only partially act as butterfly joints. I’m almost sure they’re just there to fill the gaps, between the shoulders and chest, as true butterfly motion would still be limited without them. These McFarkham figures are better bang for buck than DC Collectibles figures IMO, as the sculpts are good with decent paint apps and the figures themselves are very sturdy. Actually these figures that I have are much more sturdy than the various Spawn figures I bought in the late 90’s. The Arkham Knight Batman already has double jointed elbows. Hopefully it has hidden thigh swivels and a diaphragm joint that can curl forward better. There’s gaps regardless of how well the articulation has been hidden on these figures, so might as go all the way. Aside from the wrist/ankle joint stems, I recommend watching out for the elbows. They aren’t fragile but it’s hard to tell if they’re fully bent sometimes, since the full bend isn’t 90 degrees and the detents have hard clicks.
I just got this guy at Walmart today as a consolation prize for no G.I. Joes. Let me get the big thing out of the way, this figure has terrible articulation. He has a good head joint, and his canon is a lot of fun, besides that, he can barely move head down and needs his stand. I say that to say this, despite being an articulation junkie, this figure looks so beautiful, that I just give it a pass on that. For me, it is just nice to have this great, all be it semi poseable Doom Guy (fuck the name Doom Slayer). I will probably pick up the demon they release so far, but just so Todd knows, if he puts out the classic demons like the Imps, Cacodemons, and (my personal favorite) Revenant, I will be ALL in. Edit: I forgot to mention, I originally wanted the green version, but after getting this Phobos one, I prefer the shine on this one better.
Just put in my preorder a couple of minutes ago. I like these two designs so I'm looking forward to these.
Hello! New to this thread. Joined because I saw the newest MK11 Kitana and Baraka sets and I've never collected mortal kombat before but these look great.
i haven't seen anyone share the recent KS updates but since the only thing that was shared was the Comic Cover and what colors the sig would be based on what you bought. For those of you who order your figure with an autograph, here's a look at three of the signature plates and holders that will come with it: **The RED will come with the CLASSIC Spawn figure. **The GREEN will come with the MODERN Spawn figure. **The GOLD will come with the 3-PACK Spawn figures. Can't wait to be able to share MORE with you soon! Enjoy and Be Safe. TODD And the black and white cover for the KS
Yeah, Todd has taken creative liberties on his V1 design, you think he would know by memory how the V1 design looks like.
Reviews are up. Articulated Jaw looks great on Devastator, but I rather get a Doomsday. I'm in on the Grim Knight though, he looks sick!
Articulation on Devastator must be awesome!! Not even that reviewer's best efforts to not show anything other than the figures standing like statues could keep articulation on that beast from showing through
Boom. Robo is the only reviewer I need! Thanks for posting, off to have a view now. These guys fall into that classic category of 'I've no interest in these characters *sees more pics* Hmmmm that devastator looks pretty articulated for a big guy..."
