If you see my latest pic, you can see I slightly over-pushed the back of the forearm panel into his arm, so that the front can stay clipped in. Not perfect, but that meant I didn't shave anything. Hair dryer takes care of the stress marks.

I didn't know you could even open those up! Everything else sounds pretty much the same as mine.

I completely agree with you. Some kind of get scared off. Me, it gives me something to do. I learn from it. And I get to fix it how I want it. So no matter what mine is not the same as everyone else who fixes theirs as we always do least one or two things different from the other.

My friend, don't let all the bad reviews sway you from being excited. You have to remember, everyone will say something different when it comes to this figure. Some may praise it as the best KO ever made, some may burn it. Do like I do. Read what they say, look it over for myself, fix what I think should be fixed, and then play with it for a bit, and get a feel for it. Once I do that I then make my own views on it. When it comes to what others say, I take it with a pinch of salt. As for all I know, I could get the best one out of the factory, or the worst. So until I mess with it, transform it a few times, and decide what I think.... I will be excited. Because it is just a full realm of possibilities.

    Best Regards,

Very wise words and I completely agree. I’ve been buying robots for so long (20 years) that I’ve been through every scenario. I’ve loved things most people hate, hated things most love and everything in between. I never truly know how I’ll feel about something until it’s in my hands. I’ve also learned that many things that people get strung out over are incredibly easy and often fun for me to fix so I never panic anymore. I understand the distress, I just don’t share it.

Mine seems to be coming via Pitney Bowes, which is new for me. Curious how long it’ll take with them.

If you are in the US. My Unicron came from them, and took 42 days. Seems same as you mine is coming Bowes, so I am hoping with it being smaller it won't take as long.

God, reading you has made me realize I have been in this hobby for 20 years this year... Time flies! I am still as excited as when I got my first figure when I get a new one though. TFs are so amazing. Nice and wise words too!

I know it, but I have the feeling that in the end I am spending a lot of money to have a good Prime, first mp04, second mp10, now a ko that seems to force us to buy another supposed ko without so many failures in a while ... a lot money ... Fans toys should have made one, now I also doubt if it had not been better to buy the TE01, a lot of money for an optimus in conditions

It's not perfect but I'm happy with it.
It look good on my shelf and didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I would have never gotten MP44 at the 450 ish price point. Here in the Netherlands he's even more expensive than that.
Now I just have wait for the one from Showz to show up. 20200818_180757.jpg 20200818_180744.jpg

I dont plan to transform mine at all, to be honest. I am quite happy to have a highly poseable and good looking optimus on my shelf. I have come to realise after years of collecting that i prefer the action figure aspect of transformers, and the ability to transform is just a gimmick to me

If you don’t plan to transform him, you know there are other ultra-posable Prime figures that don’t transform... downside is they cost more than this KO prime too! :D

I don't usually transform them either, but for me, having a transformer that doesn't transform ... it's a bit meh. There are certainly better and cheaper poseable figures if you don't want them to transform

Banana Force are making a MP-scales posable figure of G1 Prime since their RID Prime did well. Although he seems to be much more stylized. So this guy is probably the best if you want it to be extremely close to the cartoon.

@Mentasm Did you manage to get a good alt-mode out of your official? Because it looks like you did not bend the knees enough for the alt-mode to hold together. I has to be clicks in from completely straight. Then there is a few things you need to do in order to get a good vehicle mode.
