I just realized we could get a Selects Blaster from Soundwave.

 

Goldbug would be a great repaint of this mold.  

 

As much as I'd like this, Blaster would need more than just a retooled head to work with the character accuracy WFC has gone for so far. He'd at least need a new chest and shins.

 

It isn't what I expected but after sitting on it for a few hours I've warmed up to him. I do like the white and purple color scheme and I think he looks better than Hubcap, so... I'm leaning towards ordering this guy.

 

What is this, a joke?  Why not a Volkswagen Beetle? 

 

Bugbite looks too much like Runamuck.

 

I would love all of those characters to get done in Selects. Loud Pedal too along with Road Rage if we get Tracks in Kingdom.

 

That and/or Sideswipe.

 

Literally the two best molds in the whole of WFC so I’m not complaining.

 

I feel that it might be licensing issues, since they cant openly show the VW logo on the Gen Selecrs box, and CliffJumper isnt a copyrighted vehicle

 

Maybe two of the best, but I'm not sure they are the two best. However, agreed, no reason to bitch.

 

Ordered because Ive really wanted Bugbite. I do wish that they had given him a deco similar to the Botcon one or had at least added more of that purple.

It stinks that he isnt a VW but he is different using the Bee head and CJ body. Hopefully he remains unique in that respect.

 

Like they've never solved that problem with a sticker.

Yeah, I'd add the helicopter mold (Spinister/Rotorstorm) as well. Definitely top three, excluding stuff like Titans and Commanders.

 

Dang was hoping they would give him the purple “tattoos” like the Botcon toy.  

 

Yeah, that's the only thing I find disappointing about Bugbite is the lack of his "tattoos". Still buying it though.

 

Heh, I had to look twice to actually notice it was the Cliffjumper car mode with the Bumblebee head. I was passing on it before, but now I'm super mega-passing. Never much cared for Bugbite as a (Transformers) concept, or perhaps more accurately the execution of such. Any 'evil' version of G1-style Bumblebee, with Bumblebee's friendly fat face, never works to me. Now if he was given a different face, such as one based on the G1 toy, or even the Bay movie design, might make a better fit

Of course changing the toy so the windshield/cabin area goes where the head goes is probably beyond the scope of this idea, but then you could also make a version of it into "Muffy"  

 

My theory is that HasTak only has the Beetle license for Bumblebee specifically. Have we had any non-Bee licensed Beetles? Even MP Red Bumblebee was Bumblebee instead of a new character.

 

The Bumblebee movie Cliffjumper toy was a straight redeco of VW Bee.
